RE: FY for 20143 Jan 2015 19:50
"share price appears to have already priced in any expected total loss for 2014."
The company has yet to disclose the total loss for 2014.
The sp has dropped for many good reasons.
(Lower)production, and (higher)costs are way off what was being projected 2 years ago.
The AL plant has not got to grips with production, due to high copper content ore.Ongoing.
Costs remain high,in part due to continued high usage of expensive cyanide.Ongoing.
The pit has low grade, problematic, complex, multi ore body ore.Permanent.
The sp has also declined for a variety of other reasons, inability to pay down debt, lower pog and uncertainty over how low the pog ($800?) could go.
Quoting of the historical decline in AAZ sp,as an indicator of its possible future potential,is naive.A red herring,to say the least.
(They had a particularly bad winter last year, which affects HL production and costs, still 3 months of this winter to go.)
