The price is related to the main share - it will trade at roughly sp - £5 as the £5 is roughly the price of the new shares if you exercise the right. So sp - £5 represents the value of the discount and also the value of the rights if you choose to sell. They can get out of step but if they do then this creates an arbitrage and so should quickly close again.
