David Burton (TMS) said on this board on the 2nd May that the Company was currently in a Closed Period so I think we will get the year end results this year in May.
The May 2024 Fact Sheet suggests that the CCS project is part of Project 3 - but I guess that could change.
In the last RNS BCE stated the following: "A further update will be provided following completion of sidetrack operation and once a stabilised and sustained flowrate has been achieved."
So would posting on twitter a picture of the rig on site actually be market sensitive?
The revenue from the CCS project will be determined by the number of localized industries that it can logistically serve.
Page 15 of the Block Energy CCS report by OPC / Prof Eric Oelkers refers to Initial Injection Rates of 100,000 - 300,000 tonnes per year for the Block CCS project.
We do not know how much carbon the Rustavi Azot plant produces but if the CCS facility initially dealt with say 200,000 tonnes @ $60 per tonne that could be a revenue $12m pa
"Block and Rustavi Azot will form joint technical and commercial teams to begin defining a pilot CO2 injection project and will share commercial and economic information to determine an optimal monetisation scheme."
Very good positive news for the Long term future of Block Energy. Confirmation that the CCS project is not just hot air!!
The only thing is, will Block need some extra cash injection shortly to finance the above study??
RNS: 29 April 2024
Beacon Energy (AIM:BCE), the full-cycle oil and gas company with a portfolio of onshore German assets through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Rhein Petroleum GmbH ("Rhein Petroleum"), announces that the drilling rig for the SCHB2 sidetrack has been released by the previous operator and will shortly commence mobilisation to the Erfelden site.
Sidetrack operations are expected to commence on or around 8 May 2024. The sidetrack operation itself is expected to take approximately 14 days. Once the rig has been demobilised from the Erfelden site, production is expected to re-commence during the last week of May 2024.
A further update will be provided following completion of sidetrack operation and once a stabilised and sustained flowrate has been achieved.
Good afternoon Chesh - you asked the following question:
"IYO then, can you break down the full process, in "parts" of the "Farm-Out Process".......!"
Answer - No, I have not got a clue, and that is the point, but if they are negotiating with multiple parties I do not imagine it will be an instant yes/no process - just my thoughts on the matter.
PH stated in the Georgian video that he anticipated the "Marketing Campaign" would take 3-6 months.
IMO the "Marketing Campaign" will only be the first part of the "Farm-Out Process". How long will negotiations take before an announcement can be made??
While I would not call 150 bopd a failure I would want the flow figure to be above 250 bopd (eventually with electric pump) to be able to call it a success. Having taken on board the wording used by Beacon and Rhein in the past I think their is a reasonable chance we will achieve around 400-500 bopd and hopefully more. (just my opinion and please DYOR)
Shed - I think you may have already reached this conclusion but I have studied the video very carefully together with google earth images and RNS dates and I am pretty sure that all the external video footage was actually filmed in 2021 - as far as I can tell the more recent wells are not featured.
With regard to the Project 3 Farm out process (including CCS) they obviously have the various independent reports & data to fall back on but I am wondering if their advisers said they needed something extra to showcase the Block Operating Company and what they have actually achieved on the ground - just a thought.
Chesh - All I have done is reproduce an extract from the RNS when gas sales commenced- In the video you will see a squiqly blue line leave the EPF at West Rustavi, carry along the pipeline and then enter a car - Perhaps the video has used a bit of artistic licence with the visuals at the end?
