Agreed about SEZ. Said it here before, if Power China prepared to invest in GCM for Phulbari mine then they should be investing here for Makhado/GSP. That project is still awaiting govt approval but we’re ready to go once complete funding shortfall

They are massively involved in trying to develop phulbari coal field in Bangladesh. They surely must have an eye on Makhado and GSP?

Thanks, that’s very useful. listened to replay of results last night and there seems to be a bit more weight on GSP and outlook, 5 times bigger than Makhado, compelling outlook etc.

A good move getting them on board. Big quarter.

We know it’s an equity raise given IDC debt deal. They’ve spelled that out previously.

So last part of financing by end of year. Construction starts January 2021. Giddy up.

So we have results released on Wednesday this week with a webcast at 11am South African time / 10am London. Not sure how much “new” information will be provided here. We all know Uitkomst results aren’t going to be great from the last update on 31st July. From conversations I’ve had:

Uitkomst is in a lot better position now both in terms of “predictable production and pricing”; and
Additionally, with regards to funding, there is a firm expectation they “will close something shortly”.
