NewDayToday, I so feel for you and all others in this boat, I too lost a fair bit. As mentioned earlier we lost half our wealth and our marriage due to the financial crisis, not in shares but through continual job losses and the stress it caused. We had to sell our beautiful house we built, our children had to change schools. I tell you, NOTHING is more important than your health, your wife. Money can come and go; you may be forced to change your life and bitterly resent that, many of us bright people made the same big mistake, but now its the time to hold in to what is so very much more important than money, your wife, your self-esteem, your family. It is always our health and our family that matters. Forgive yourself.
Forgive yourself. Be gentle on yourself. Look after your head, your heart. Your wife wants you as you were before this, don't let this change you. I know as a wife who lost everything due to financial stress. I know this as someone who had to build up again.
You have taken a big hit, my heart goes out to you, I wish I could help all those hurting hearts and worried brains on here, people I feel I've got to know a little over 2 years, all I can say is life will sort itself and be ok, but it starts when you forgive yourself. Hug your wife/husband and children, they are worth everything and so are you.
Helen
The stress of the financial crisis in 2009 and repeated job losses cost me dearly, divorce in a previously happy marriage, sold the house we built, lots of mental health deterioration, but today all of us are smiling, different lives but all happy again, its a lesson learned. So today I've lost money and strangely I feel calm, because it doesn't compare to losing people. There's people on here who have lost more money than me today and it will seem horrendous, please be gentle on yourselves, its you, your health and family that matters. Everything else will work out in time.
Couldn't sell so forced to wait it out now. I've lost a fair bit today but strangely feel calm. There's other things more important in my life, my old mum is ill, was serious on Wednesday, and the fact that she is sill here, walking around, puts everything else in perspective.
Keep perspective everyone, so sorry we aren't all on here partying, was really looking forward to that but stay ok, its what matters.
Axe, please don't go, too many of the LTHs have left and I am so looking forward to finally meeting you all when we're all celebrating. I see someone said something about Helen B Merry, no idea if that referenced me but good/bad/funny doesn't matter I've just enjoyed sharing our Synairgen journey with all of you, gleaning a good insight into Synairgen through the researched comments, and definitely enjoying the humour. There's rubbish on here at times, spats, weirdness, but mostly we're a great crew, and I look forward to meeting you at the party Axe.
Its Monday, let's all start again, we want you with us Axe, it's nearly Party Time.
WedME was great, gave me the courage to invest more than I normally would with his clear explanations and medical insight. I miss his posts greatly, think he was an A&E doctor/consultant but I may have remembered wrong. I missed his departure most and owe him thanks. GLA
Gunto, you may well be more qualified than me as perhaps a scientist or health worker, in which case perhaps you are correct. However, it still may be worth considering vit D according to https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33668240/
SBT I treated my son with vit D and am positive it helped. Perhaps the hospital could check her vit D levels. I gave my son 7000iu for 5 days, then 3000iu for a further 5 days. Also gave RDA magnesium as the night sweats were really bad and I know asthma is worse if magnesium levels are low. I hope the hospital gets on top of it quickly. HelenB
Kevin, I think generally you can tell the strain from the symptoms (although far from a precise method). The night sweats seem a main symptom with omicron, great body aches, cold like sneezing etc(although my son had no cold symptoms), but mainly it doesn't seem to be going to the chest (at least with the vaccinated). It looks really different to wuhan and delta, I'm seeing this in all our friends and relatives.
My average is 1.62 but took some profit a year ago before then buying back. I've a sixth of my pension in this and am late fifties. I am so nervously excited and have never done anything remotely like this in my life. To me it feels my one chance to make some proper money and I just can't sell my shares, I just have such faith in SSH, RM and their original small team. I feel like I'm on 'who wants to be a millionaire' and I've decided I can stomach a loss, but I have such faith in Synairgen that I'd kick myself forever if I didn't keep this level of investment and the results were amazing as I fully believe they will be. Jan will be so exciting, my first grandchild due on the 11th jan too. GLA with your nervous excitement, wishing you all a wonderful Christmas and very prosperous, happy and healthy 2022. Helen
My son with brittle asthma now has covid, I fear with his lung history this could get bad today/tomorrow. I've held this share for 18 months for this very reason. He is 24. Does anyone know how I can get the drug, I can't imagine our GP/hospital being aware of it. Any other suggestions please. I have him on high vit D, vit C and zinc, magnesium. Thank you all for any advice. Helen
I would never take a Merck pill, I've seen the side effects of their montelukast on children and young adults first-hand. Its been going on for 15 years now. My prayers are with natural Synairgen, those with covid, asthma and copd need it.
Does anyone know why SD only has 375,000 shares, bought yesterday, £54,000 approx. Is it because he has lots of share options, etc. I've loved reading and investing in this company but having a little wobble today and would have been happier seeing him load up, but hopefully you will all be able to answer this for me.
