I do like the strategy being played out here to maximise the value for a sale.

Just imagine being a buyer. Carbon Intensity study in place. Planning for plenty more wells. Volumetrics/CPR for whats in place and proven. Pipelines an infrastructure sat ready for you with the likes of Equinor chatting with steel makers about Hydrogen from Germany to the UK. They will LOVE our gas. Carbon capture Hubs becoming the new fashion too... The Humber is the place to be.

Hyundai & INEOS are looking at opportunities for production & supply of hydrogen as well as the worldwide deployment of hydrogen applications & technologies. Also they are seeking to facilitate public & private sector projects focused on the development of a hydrogen value chain in Europe.

With the Gas at West Newton I am sure we would tick this box.

Also, Chemical giant INEOS have formed a new energy group headed by Brian Gilvary after retiring from BP, 'INEOS Energy.'

The size and potential of West Newton could be Significant.

British Gas owner, Centrica, has joined the Hydrogen task force, & is considering converting its Rough natural gas storage site off the coast of Yorkshire to store hydrogen.

Commenting on Centrica joining the Hydrogen Taskforce, Chris O’Shea, Group Chief Executive at Centrica, said, “Hydrogen will be a key enabler of the UK’s transition to Net Zero, and we look forward to playing our part to help secure the role of hydrogen production and storage in the future energy mix.

Note 'mix' Not just solar panels an wind turbines.

“The heating of homes and businesses is the single largest contributor to carbon emissions in the UK, and so we must support customers to transition to low carbon technologies that are affordable and cause minimal disruption to them; we believe this will be a multi-pathway approach that will include hydrogen.”
