Trump doesnt know what he wants IMHO and he's gonna get smashed in the mid terms from what Ive read. I think debt will weaken the dollar, the US adds debt by $50-$70bn - a month - only so many people can buy that debt and and only so much money can be printed when the people stop buying, it will cause gold to rise and $ to fall, in my little world anyway ;-)

Possibly but I have no idea. Retrenchment was to cost $10m - thats a thorn
"Elikhulu is estimated to produce gold at an all-in sustaining cost of production of below US$650/oz, at the prevailing ZAR:USD exchange rate of R11.75:1" Its now at 15.00:1 which is **$509** - unless im doing something silly.
"Elikhulu Project - The project is on track for commissioning early in the 2019 financial year, which is ahead of schedule and below budget. Capital expenditure of R671.4 million (excluding capitalised borrowing costs) has been incurred on the Elikhulu Project to date." - Accounts say this is also in RAND...<br />
At $1350 x 12.5 rand to the dollar, 10 weeks ago, we were grossing 16,875 rand. Now at $1200 x 15 to the dollar we are grossing 18,000 rand,(and at today's exchange rate 18455r) the low 4 months from Jan we were at 11-12r, and 15,180r.
So costs should have significantly reduced, over $150 per oz, even with the gold drop, and that also doesnt take into account the $ strength vs £ and new increased production, its somewhat positive I think, though unlikely a divi IMHO, hope im wrong.

No- Just a coincidence in terminology. The press, economists and stock market are mostly asleep at the wheel and meandering into the next catastrophe, it’s just time... Shame we are so low but I’m not selling
Debt, balance sheet reduction, loans, inflation and a lot on gold price. Reinforces our belief with the fault line in the system. Quite a good article, looking forward over next 6-12 months. https://www.equities.com/news/what-impact-are-the-federal-reserve-s-actions-having-on-peripheral-markets
