Hi All
I emailed Centamin re. no production guidance, falling SP, forecasts vs production and the court case. I actually got a response...
Much of the response was info already in public knowledge, with RNS attachments , re 2018 FY Results, Cote d Ivoire, Appointment of the NED(started today) and the AGM results. However, there was this also...
"The Quarterly Report will supersede the previous Preliminary Production Results, as we transition our reporting format in line with our UK listed peers. The quarterly will be a more detailed, comprehensive overview, including full operational results, exploration highlights, developments against ESG initiatives and key financial metrics"
"We acutely recognise the impact of last year’s 2018 operational challenges had on the share price and shareholder experience. The Company identified, assessed and implemented solutions to the issues faced with agility, urgency and professionalism. Where appropriate lessons have been learnt and future risks mitigated. We look forward to continuing to update you, our shareholder, starting with the Q1 2019 Quarterly Report on 24 April 2019"
"I hear your frustration with regards to the court case. Egypt has gone through four significant political regime changes in the last seven years, resulting in the courts being overwhelmed with cases. I can assure you our local lawyers, UK lawyers and members of the Board are regularly reviewing ways to progress towards an outcome. When there is a material update, we will inform our shareholders."
Better to use contractors. They have expertise and when youve finished with them they go. You dont have all those people sat on your books, Its not core business, this is why contractors are used the world over.
Fed Tapering Link. Updates every Friday lunch/afternoon with a helpful chart. They knocked off 20bn this week, 6bn each of the two weeks before. Hope it helps

The fed hasn’t yet stopped buying, they bought 6bn the last couple of weeks each n £20bn the week before. I think they are about £30bn a month at the mo, however tomorrow i’l post a good link to the fed website where you can check every Friday the previous weeks buying
Dont like what your saying Rebess only because its not sweet on my ears. You were right about Joesf selling 2+ years ago, I hope your wrong about this. I would like to bail. I rejected as a protest all the rehiring of the directors.
I wonder if gold will notice what the feds admitted. No hikes, weaker dollar, closure of the QT unwinding. Before the fed started tightening with interest rates gold was quite strong. Dollar weakness should also help. But will gold notice, is this the beginning or just another chapter in this miserable story!
Youcan stop them using ur CEY shares to short by putting a sell price on 90 days, for example £3

I suppose West Africa would shine alot more if the GP increased, it would be a no brainer to build a mine. Would be better to gently push it now and build even a small mine, it would take a couple of years I should imagine and gold will surely be higher by the time its finished.
There is no easy way out of this. They messed up in May n they’ve dropped the ball again. I feel
the full story is not being given. Q1 should be higher. The dividend was below all expectations, they are sat on a cash pile, it’s a big FU to holders at 3 cents a share. The forecast is not ambitious n the court case has all but disappeared. Costs are increasing and directors remunerations also. They had 8 months to get the house in order. We should look to vote something down at the agm collectively. Absolute crap.
not bad, but costs up, lousy gold price at $1222, no dividend, not a very ambitious forecast for 2019 in Oz's, I thought we would be closer to 190koz for 2019. I suppose next year will be better, AISC will be lower, GP higher, Zar FX about the same I imagine, and Ekilulu optimised fully. Needs gold price to push it up.
I Agree. Re debt: "Improved production performance, curtailment of large scale underground mining operations at Evander Mines and the contribution of incremental low-cost ounces from Elikhulu has resulted in a marked reduction in the group’s all-in sustaining cost of production"
bodes well.
