I am constantly meeting 100 year old bricklayers and carpenters. Also cable gangs running in the new fiber cables are made up of mostly 98 year old men and women. My postman is 103 and the binmen are in there 90's.These people are willing to work to 105 to help the top rate earners pay less tax. This type of attitude is what makes our country GREAT.
If you do this I will give the person who makes the decision a highly paid job on my board. Now that the rules have been changed we will have to wait a few months as doing it right away would cause a bit of comment in the press.
We are constantly told by Boris and his cronies that we will leave by WTO rules so it is easy to forecast our prices etc as there are countries trading under these rules already. Why do we not take a step back and inform the people exactly how we will be affected under these rules. We are constantly being fed soundbites that do not mean anything.Words like dictatorship, rule from Brussels etc do not explain anything.
It is vital that a country told lies by the likes of Boris finds an enemy to blame rather than look at the mess we have made ourselves.Germany will do or even France or Ireland.Remember when we all loose out as the markets fall the likes of Farage etc will still be very rich men.
Well said. The evil of corporate greed will come back to haunt a lot of companies who attack workers pensions. The telecoms pie has been cut into too many pieces after privatisation and with BT'S hands tied behind its back the shares will not improve until government policy changes.
Cutting the workforce is the usual answer from an incompetent management team. The smart answer is to grow the company and offer an outstanding service to the customers. However this would involve hard work and treating the workforce with respect by listening to them and improving morale.
Is cutting staff the only strategy these overpaid fat cats can come up with. Why not grow the company and give the customers a better service. My family members have experienced no broadband service for almost a month due to a refusal to put the customer first. The engineer who eventually arrived was worried more about the tracker on his van than restoring service. What type of management has this company got now.I'm sure the staff morale will be at rock bottom when more cuts arrive.
The MPs many who are millionaires can take a chance on leaving the EU.They will not suffer. Now is the time to stay in the EU and change it from the inside. We want workers rights protected and national morale will improve leading to increased productivity in all companies. Why run away from a challenge get in there and fight.
Good result that BT lost the court case. Why are they always trying to find ways to hammer the staff.Good staff morale will help the share price. Why do they not put in as much effort to curtailing the board members excessive wages. It is time they put more effort into turning this once great company around.
It is very important that the Brexiteers get an enemy to focus on to keep the country from looking at the mess our politicians have made of all this.We have to blame the EU or even better the Irish. We could even go back to the bad old days and modify the posters common in the past.No dogs no Irish no EU etc.We are now more aware of the facts of Brexit. It should be put on hold and maybe some of the DUP promised money could be used to give us more info.It is time for businesses to stop sitting on the fence and tell it like it is.We have made a terrible mistake.
We must stay in the EU and the energy we are wasting in watching millionaires in the Tory party seek power should be put into getting the EU to change. We in our history have never run away from a challenge so get the best people to navigate our future in Europe.
Wonder what that manager on the train would do about my sons experience with BT. He applied to have fiber to his house in a broadband upgrade. Not only did the engineer not turn up for the appointment but his existing broadband was disconnected. He has be without broadband for two weeks and it will take another week to sort it out apparently.Maybe better management would help our share price.
