I think you may be wrong about 4000kg per day. I think the washing machine sized unit was 400kg a day.

It’s mind blowing that you’re so stupid to think people who invest in AFC are not invested elsewhere too.

Don’t forget when you were in your AimMillionaire period you frequently reminded everyone of your 1.7M AFC shares and how the business was doing fine and everyone else didn’t understand etc etc.

I don’t think LSE is regulated so not sure what influence can be applied.

You sound like a data-savvy person and I agree including it wouldn’t be more expensive (other than initial implementation) than the current data being provided. I guess though many brokers will be supplying data to LSE so getting them all to align may be difficult.

I’m hoping Ade will clarify. LSE looks like it calculates it based on the ask and bid at the time the calculation is made but the trade itself may not have a true transaction date. Also if different brokers have different prices at any one point in time LSE will only display an average or something similar further compounding the issue.

I’m disappointed in a lack of response Ade - I have no issues with my very brief research being wrong.

I look forward to some valuable insight from you and I’m sure this board will benefit if we can put some rationale against this continued annoyance.

Trading platforms often mislabel trades as “buy” or “sell” because exchanges typically don’t provide explicit initiator data for each trade. Instead, platforms use algorithms to infer who initiated the trade based on price movements, which can be unreliable. Access to precise initiator information is usually limited, expensive, or not public, so these inferences sometimes get it wrong.

Clearly AI generated, but also some trades the info isn’t available - dark trades etc. - so the platforms just implement a rule for all and hope for the best.

Personally I think it suits them and can be used to their advantage, such as many of the recent mid-price large trades.

Had a look earlier and found an example of a data centre which had to get planning for 160 diesel generators for post-UPS backup power. Then you look at the maintenance overhead this creates when they may not even ever get used in anger a move to fuel cells does provide significant benefits given the reduction in moving parts, longer maintenance cycles etc.

Given the numbers I quoted earlier however we are way off being able to provide such a service although things may change quickly if the need arises…

And just to finish off my figures from earlier the ammonia needs per day would equate to around 4 lorry loads per day.

For a data centre needing 10MWh to function you’d need 50 of AFCs 200kw fuel cells, and that’s without backup. Then they’d need the hydrogen supply, and that at around 50% efficiency would be around 600kg per hour (figures from an AI search). That equates to around 28 crackers running at 500kg per day.

Tall order for us at the moment but we could be a part-provider.

Don’t forget ITM was in the mid 90s a month or so back so motoring back up to mid 70s isn’t so great in that context.
