Adrian Hargrave, CEO of SEEEN, explains how the new funds will accelerate customer growth Watch the video here.
Just on the train home after a great day at the AWS Summit, learning about how Amazon are reducing their carbon footprint through using renewables and how I can design to reduce it further through various design options. Sadly no mention of fuel cells for data centres, but lots on solar and wind. There was also a Formula E car there surrounded by ABB branding (very cool looking machine) and an EV show going on too.
And just to add…bottled hydrogen is probably the most agile for a customer as you can more easily move it with the tower, whereas with the other fuels you’ll have fuel tanks and crackers. Personally I think the hydrogen version will thrive for single towers whereas the other fuels suit larger more immobile configurations.
Daz - there is always going to be the need to regularly deliver fuel to the cell for it to work. I wouldn’t get too hung up on the fact it’s hydrogen for now. Soon it’ll be methanol and then ammonia.
After Haggis accused some of the most level headed, considerate and informed posters of being con men yesterday I think any opinions he shares need to be treated with extreme scepticism. That goes for anyones opinion on here to be fair, but some more than others.
RNS stated an integrated reformer would come later this year.
“ The EV variant to the Power Tower will also be capable of operating on Hydrogen fuel or Methanol, the later requiring a methanol reformer which AFC Energy is able to provide on a fully integrated basis later this year.”
That’ll go down well mucksy!
Great to see they are going to integrate the reformer making it a more complete package. Timing of RNS smacks a bit of ‘look - there’s an elephant’ as AB runs away but I’m hoping this meets a lot of the concerns of EV customers who didn’t take up the L EV offering.
