Ref Carbon and CO2, if money is being made and a carbon index being played then it's a con simple, the earth and everything on it is carbon based so every end product no matter what requires the same amount carbon transition, it doesn't matter who you blame for it. Solar activity also releases vast amounts of CO2 from the oceans. The amount of alleged green house gases emitted over the last three years alone from conflicts and volcanic activity will negate any inane alarmist pro-activity. Apart from that cleaner atmosphere allows more UV and IR through so higher ground temps and higher skin cancer issues.

How about diverting effort into cleaning up waterways and coastlines from sewage dumping, the results will be seen in months as opposed to the emperors new clothes.

Shorting is now an industry as opposed to an investment option risk, it will never get banned as 'big money' and politicians are all involved. The scale of it, the number of hedge funds now compared to 50 years ago and comparisons with other countries is easily 'googled'.

The bigger question is were shorts taken out before or after certain world events, no that would be an eye opener.
