I have been invested for a long time, since the days we went from 15p to 60p in a short time! The board has been a really valuable resource that I have tuned in to read maybe once a month. The discussions around the science have been very good, and there’s been the obvious hype, like recently people quoting the next stop is 20p – posting comments about potential price targets is pointless.
A year ago hype may have been the way to go for this board, and recently with the coverage on sky news yes people got a little bit giddy. The number of views and being impressed with the number is a pure vanity metric. We have always needed targeted marketing that focuses on the right people. My view is that scancell will get bought out and a larger company will take it further with more resources – and I think that is the best thing for patients and investors. Based on this our target market is those who look for deals or partnerships, not the general public on sky news. The millions of views is irrelevant I would say.
Where things change is that I have no doubt that on a weekly basis someone in these larger organisations is tasked to produce an update on the various covid trials so that their leaders can then digest the information. So I have no doubt each of the potential partnerships or deals with orgs, they are now completely aware of Scancell and will be watching closely. And that’s it, that’s the most valuable marketing we could have wished for – that could be 10-1,000 people aware. Job done. Huge value in that. Now it’s over to the science.
