The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
I really hope you're right as we all stand to benefit that way. I am definitely playing the long game and I DO believe there is a future in eSports, but with every new sponsor comes a tiny rise and then nothing. They're sponsored by one of the biggest media companies globally which gives me a little confidence in their future, but 'The Market' just doesn't buy it at the moment.
I only mention the past as I remember the 6p days and would love them to return.
Anyone can post the 'To the moon' kind of posts (but seldom back them up with facts of data).
I wish everyone the best of luck with GILD. It seems to be holding at .8p to buy, so that's a start.......
Fingers crossed, anything above 1.5p and I'm in profit
The Beckham Factor that has taken this share from 6.5p when I first bought in to .7p today? I'd love to have money to waste and I'm sure this will be another opportunity to average down that I'll miss, but I'm not prepared to waste any more money. GLA
It's nice to see that in spite of all the Chaos, they're still pushing their Unlimited Card (and happy to pay for Instagram stars in the ad too! - BTW Big Manny, the science guy is well worth a watch, he does some crazy mad experiments, d'ya get me?). (I'm not being sarcastic).

I've been here since the pre-COVID 55p days. I will be grateful for any rise. I have averaged down a bit but had to stop throwing good money after bad. All the news looks incredibly positive, but the problem with internet forums are they become little echo chambers and people talk each other up into a frenzy. Let's just hope for a rise. A sky rocket would be lovely though. GLA
To be honest, unless they bounce to 5p this morning I'll just let them die. They're worth nowt now. Still, in another world they could have gone back over £1. You live and learn:
Cineworld Group plc - Chapter 11 Bankruptcy
Your holding of shares within your Stocks & Shares ISA
What has happened?
Cineworld Group plc has filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy protection in the US. This is usually done when a company is in financial difficulty and trying to restructure its debt.
Shortly before completion of the restructuring in July, the company plans to appoint administrators in the UK. The administrators will look to transfer substantially all of the company’s assets to a newly created company.
The company has stated that given the level of existing debt, the Chapter 11 restructuring does not provide for any recovery for holders of Cineworld shares. Shareholders will not receive any shares in the newly created company.
Delisting from the London Stock Exchange (LSE)
The company’s shares are expected to be suspended from trading on the LSE once the plan to appoint administrators is formally announced and will then delist shortly after.
You should note that following the suspension you may have difficulty selling your shares at a reasonable price and, in some circumstances, it may be impossible to sell them at any price.
If you wish to sell your shares before the suspension, you can do so when logged in online at hl.co.uk or by calling our Dealers. Please note dealing charges are higher over the phone. We can only sell your shares if a market still exists, and the amount raised is more than the dealing charge for the sale.
Important information for ISA holders only
Please note, under HMRC rules delisted shares are not eligible to be held within a Stocks and Shares ISA. As a result, any holding of Cineworld Group plc shares within a Stocks and Shares ISA will need to be removed within 30 days of the effective date of the delisting.
If you hold these shares within a Stocks and Shares ISA we will write to you again after the delisting with more information.
If you have any questions about this, please contact us.
Yours sincerely

Corporate Actions
Gamers need chairs, apparently.
I'm not complaining, but a mate's threadbare sofa or a nearby bean bag used to be good enough for Goldeneye on the N64.
Still, if it pushes the SP up.......
10p by lunchtime! :)

I'm not dismissing it, it may be true, but it also could be preying on people's insecurities who then are convinced into buying more shares in a company with an unknown future.
Yes, shares are informed gambling, but posts without specifics should be taken with a pinch of salt (obviously in my opinion, but I am also happy to eat a huge slice of humble pie when this has reached 5p by lunchtime).
Love it when people post with no specifics. Which staff at Cineworld? Danny who sells the tickets or Tony who sells the popcorn and pick and mix? (Sigh)
Almost as reliable as 'a bloke down the pub told me'.
Totally agree. If you're going to pay via Klarna for some Cellular Goods 'serum' then you shouldn't be buying Cellular Goods 'serum'.
ABDX has announced that they are about to sell their 'Salistick' pregnancy test through Superdrug. Now Cellular Goods in a recognised High Street store would be great but it's too flipping expensive, especially in today's hard(er) times.
HL has the high in August '21 as 62.5. Either way, any rise is greatly appreciated. Been here since the days of 55p. Averaged down a bit to under 20p and then got to the point where I wasn't prepared to waste any more money.
The Salistick is a fantastic idea, a real game-changer. Hopefully this will propel ABDX back to the glory days of £1+.
Let's hope they've got a decent marketing team. GLA.
You have a valid point Bowlers, but look at Games Workshop...... Admittedly you do get quite a few adult lead figure painters and role players, but THAT many??? ;)
One day (Rodney). I'll just keep thinking it's a LTH and in 2040, when we're all watching the World eSports Super Mario Cart Final via our digital cranial implants, I'll smile, knowing I was an early investor in Guild and trade some more Guild shares at £6 a go!
Maybe. :)
I naively think that there is a future in eSports. Kids today spend hours watching others play games online but does it translate to stadiums?
Guild have had a run of good sponsorship deals and worthy causes but STILL can't turn it around. Why????
I'd love to average down (currently 3.5p and could easily halve that) but I just haven't got the money to 'waste' right now.
In the cold light of day, is an arena full of people watching others play a tournament and different to a stadium full of people watching 22 men (or women) kick a ball around? Not really. It just needs a shift in culture but I don't think Guild have the presence to do that, sadly.
Can you expand please. No offence, but I'm always a bit wary of clicking links from unknown sources!
Is it me or are 'RNS incoming' posts generally not backed up by any sort of evidence?
Other than initial backing Beckham has had little or no input. 5p? That'd be nice (but still short of my average). The issue with this company is a lack of advertising. A couple of bus shelters doesn't cut it. They need to get a few Instagram influencers involved and then we might see some sort of SP increase. The products are far too expensive for someone to buy 'on a whim'.
Whilst I appreciate the positivity, it's a long way off of the 9p it opened at (and even further away from where it got to almost immediately based solely on hype).
Obviously Sephora aren't as excited about this as the shareholders are. Just been on their site and there is no big promotion going on. There are 10 products for sale. CBX need a much better marketing strategy for this to go places. Don't get me wrong, it's great we're on a popular cosmetic retail site, but without exposure it's unlikely to sell in massive volumes. It's an expensive product. They need celebrity endorsements, etc. GLA
