I don't think you need to transfer them to a certificate yet as at the moment you cannot sell them. Once asset match start auctions in Dev and you want to sell then you should move them to a certificate and register with one of the brokers that deal on asset match. As others have posted on here, I don't think Dev shares will be worth much.
Yes I have mentally written off my remaining DEV holding but still interested in seeing what prices Assetmatch will fetch. I don't expect it to be much if anything at all.
iWeb moved my Dev holding from my ISA to my ordinary share account, where I can see them listed.
No buyers or sellers listed yet. I expected some sellers maybe they have not got their certificates sorted yet.
I see Asset Match have listed the first auction, listed under Veative, closing date 29/3/23
You cannot sell the shares at the present time, the matched bargain system has not started.
There are a number of posts below setting out the brokers who are likely to be participating in the matched bargain process when it starts.
There is no information yet when the rebrand to Veative will take place.
What’s the connection with DEV?
I posted several times over the last 3 years or so, advising people to get out ( at 3p, 2p, 1.6p and 1p) but all I got was abuse from these rampers (you know who you are). I just hope some of you heeded my warnings and salvaged something.
Me too Rumfuddle, I got foul mouthed abuse when I recommended selling at 4p, again at 2p and again when it dropped below 1p.
I told you so
Being a former shareholder I review my sales to check if I should buy back in. I have done this quite successfully with other holdings (DEV, DX, BIRD). I sold my holdings some time back at 8p and reviewed the company at various points and posted my findings over the years. I looked hard when the sp had dropped to 4p (my original buy price) but thought the facebook linked oculus news at that time was unlikely to come to much and advised a sell. I have checked again at 2p, and 1.65p at which point I continued to advise people to get out. Now we have dropped below 1p I have had another look. Clearly much is hanging on the new platform and new senior managers appears hopeful. However I still can't get away from the fact this is losing millions every year and in a very competitive area of the market I still feel the same - this will end up a zero. I notice some of the previous rampers have disappeared as their promises of progress have also disappeared. I continue to advise get out while there is still something left.
I sold out in its previous EVRH mode at 8p (doubled my money) but keep checking back considering buying back in. Nothing has changed that I can see, I still can't see this going anywhere and advised people to get out at 4p, again around 3p and now at 1.65 my advice is to get out whilst you can recover something.
I got out of this stock at 8.5p in it's former EVRH days and doubled my money. Been following it's fortunes and when it fell to 3.5p I thought if it fell under 3p might be worth a punt. Changed my mind, after the Napster saga to me it is looking confused, lacks direction and is burning cash. I think it may end a zero.
Not going yet bat, I think I I could pick up a bargain pretty soon when the dust has settled, anything below 3p looks fair value and long term if you are prepared to wait, this stock has legs
Bought Melody in its previous EVRH incarnation at 4p, sold out at 8p and made tidy packet. Was thinking at buying back in but not confident after today’s rns, more dilution cannot be a good thing. For those holding on good luck.
I see TW is dissing Dev yet again, anyone got access to todays bearcast?
My initial investment in Dev was at 8p, they subsequently fell back and I topped up a couple of times to give me an average buy price of 6p. If a share doubles I usually sell half to get my stake back but when Dev recently reached 12p I held firm. They have now tripled to 18p and I continue to hold firmly. I anticipate there is still more to come for those that hold their nerve.
Just been offered 6.81 for my shares, no sale!
Finally in profit on my dev holding, my decision to hold on despite exceeding my stop loss limit has paid off. Just been offered 6.61p for 40K shares but not selling, I am sure there is a lot more to come
