Anyone old enough to remember the old advert?
Just had a vision of JM sitting under a veranda in Brazil getting up with a spade in one hand and putting the other hand out into the rain, can't be long before the man from Horizonte says yes
It’s interesting to see a common theme across all the boards regarding the current radio silence from HZM, having been around for a couple of years now when were they ever good at Comms and isn’t radio silence the norm?
Anyone remember the car crash following Elon Musk tweeting about the need for Nickel and Cobalt? The cancelled interview rearranged for the next day then cancelled again. If I remember correctly didn’t Proactive turn up to Horizonte’s offices to find the doors locked?
HZM had never done PI investor relations well and lack of updates is nothing new, we awarded the power supply contract several months back but have you seen one tweet of someone in a hard hat slinging copper cable on a post? Part of the 18 million raise was earmarked for early Geo engineering, anyone seen anything of a bull dozer laying a service road??
Up to this point it hadn’t bothered me, in fact it was probably why I added over the years. Having got burnt on Sirius I liked that JM wasn’t a natural salesman and appeared humble and understated in his sales pitches, under promising and over delivering. For me HZM became investable because I could understand the disconnect between the share price and the true value was poor communication.
At some point though HZM should have up’d their game, we are at a situation where the company is valued at close to cash in the bank. Serious question need to be asked about how we are back in the 5p range and what the company intends to do about it, not communicating and hoping somehow people have faith isn’t the answer. You talk to those you are interested in and HZM has clearly indicated that isn’t the PI’s.
While the current doldrums have been put down to new investor churn it’s equally as likely to be longer term investors like myself who have doubled their money and can take a hint, I’m certainly considering it
Let’s just take a second to think where we’re at, today 68 people sold shares at 6,2p because they are annoyed at a huge mine finance company getting special mate rates of 7p and did so knowing that the next big milestone is the official ground breaking ceremony which is happening as far away as next month (with Christmas In between). They did so within a week of JM showing just how well he could put a deal together by buying half the plant required for A2 for a tenth of its cost at next to no money down.
Guess it makes sense to them, I wonder if Brewsters millions is on TV again this year?
A good interview but relatively short, I wonder if you were a new investor listening to it and looking to buy and visited the LSE and twitter accounts at the moment how likely you would be to stay?
it would be nice if Jeremy followed up with a bit of an in-depth interview where PI’s have submitted questions before hand as he did with Proactive in the past. I would happily give Jeremy a good hour of my time to hear in a bit of detail how we got to this point and what his plans are for the future . How much do we really know about the options, the extra money raised over Capex, why no pre paid off takes, strategy for dealing with the CLN? all things discussed on this board.
I’ve always had the impression Media is something Jeremy is competent at but not comfortable with, it’s no better time to settle the ship, answer some concerns and get the stock price where people are considering taking up the 7p issue, I bet he had a few meeting with Glencore to get the same amount of finance from them, now would seem a good time for the long term PI’s to have a bit of time spent on them
Contrarian today is Jam for many, 3 months ago this share was 6p today today it’s selling for 9p plus, plenty of profit for those who took the gamble and who are happy to sell and move on considerably richer, while they swap out for new holders here we are in the churn.
I, as most people on this board do , expect the upward trajectory to continue for some time, plenty of jam left
Anyone bought a house recently?
Remember how long you thought it’d take, how long you were told it’d take and how long it actually took?
Seems to me this is the moment where everybody is getting snarky with each other because it’s moving day, you’re standing in the garden with your life’s in a van and the contract still haven’t been exchanged and nobody knows why
At some point when someone presses some magic button, it all goes through, money pops up in the accounts and everyone agrees that it shouldn’t have been so hard and should have happened weeks ago
With five banks involved why would this be any different?

Apologies if it's been posted before but I thought this was interesting article if you haven't seen it before as it has lots of positives for HZM albeit with negatives for the general area. The Chinese have signed a deal to build to build a railway from the port at Barcerena to Maraba which halves our transportation with a further proposed route onto our front door.
It would be interesting to see what the future holds for the region , Para's got Iron Ore, our Nickle, cheap and clean Hydro power, a competitively priced workforce and pro business local and National Government. It would seem obvious the long term plan would be to move from miners to producers in which case we'd in exactly the right place at the right time.
Has anyone got a more recent update on the railway?
Its going to be really interesting to see how today pans out, if i follow the maths that on this board it takes about a ton of Nickle to make 25 Tesla Model 3's. They are planning to make 500000 in the Freemont California factory from 2020 onwards .
500000/25 = 20,000 ton Nickel. Using a 9 .5 .5 battery chemistry about 1000 ton cobalt.
Vemelho'S output 25,000 tonnes of nickel and 1,250 tonnes of cobalt per annum
We already know that he's bought the machines to make the batteries and the technology companies to produce new designs from Luke's kind posts.
We also know from a Proactive Investor interview that JM was planning back to back site meeting with the banks and car companies early 2020 and we know that at least the banks visit took place before Covid as its mentioned when he delivered the finance package. From that it's reasonable to assume Tesla were also on site 6 months ago.
Since then we've had additional work around CSR and environmental sustainability for a site that was given a construction permit 15 years ago. It's not that hard to see Tesla locking in a uber clean supply of materials to produce its Model 3, they've already stated that's their intention, Elon even tweeted it.
I've bought some more today
Hi Northoftheriver
I get your point on the recent promo videos but for me they’re a welcome addition, some of our big Institutional Investors have sold up which is no reflection on the company leaving Private investors to pick up the stock and support the price.
I’m pretty sure JM is having lots of conversations with high level companies and has a number of bombs ready to drop but if in the mean time he’s trying to trying to market to some new PI’s to get the share price up to the 100m he’s after to help with finance I for one am going to share, like and tweet the hell out of it
I do think JM and Horizonte need to carefully consider their communication strategy. Presenting forth meant that anyone thinking of investing in the mining space had to sit through 1 1/2 hours and three other pitches before they got to ours and even then 25 minutes of the half hour was a recap of the company which most people has seen several times before. The five minutes Q&A were the only thing of value and even that just skimmed the issues.
Currently Horizonte feels like it’s going to rumble on for years not a dynamic company that could transform lives within weeks and today’s share price drop is unsurprising.
With Sporadic RNS’s, little direct communication, no regular email updates a website that has little new content I don’t feel well informed about any progress made and that easily translates to no progress been made.
Theirs no Facebook page and the principle means of communication seems to be Twitter but with just 2000 followers and no original content it’s hardly a conversation starter, a little Elon musk from JM would be nice If he’s looking for PI’s to push us over the 100million market cap
I still keep the faith but it’s a defined must try harder from me
I’m new to equity trading and looking to increase my knowledge so I wonder if someone can advise?
There seems to be some concern re cash burn, I’ve looked at last half yearly report Issued August 2019 which was before the Orion draw down of $25m and on the 30th June the cash and equivalents were £4,322,699,
Administration costs which google tells me is jeremys wages, office costs and keeping the lights both in London and Brazil was just shy of a million for the first 6 months of 2019 at £968,917, call it 2 million a year.
What am I missing because on first glance we could easily pay for a minimum of 10 years before going broke?
I’ve taken what’s left of my Sirius minerals money and tweaked some pots and I’m now sitting on 2 million with an average just under 3p. At 42 years old and a Police pension if it all goes horribly wrong I’m covered but long term I’m hugely confident this will pay off for me, If all goes well I might be able to see out the life of the mine!
Was doing a little sales pitch to a friend and came across this article, I don’t think it’s been shared before, worth a moments read on a red day.

Everyone’s talking about two resources but is it 3 with Sierra do Tappa? The RNS dropped on the 13th August , I hadn’t heard anything about it either before or after .Is it just sitting in the background while V &A get prioritised?
The RNS said its 100% owned and contains 30% of our Nickel reserves so it seems too significant to have so little comment .
Anybody know what’s happening with it?
