Ref Sheffield SAF Planning development.
I had a quick scan and seems to refer to Testing of SAF and research. Not production on same scale as VLS Altalto project.
BA commitment to SAF : >

This is a crucial role in our organisation, and I know Carrie’s expertise, as well as her ability to deliver, will have a hugely positive impact on our sustainability agenda.”
Carrie Harris, British Airways’ Head of Sustainability said:
“We know our customers, colleagues and investors want to see sustainability at the heart of everything we do at British Airways, so this is an incredible opportunity for me to build on the great work that is already well underway.

Bye Bye, Sirt ...
I'm not going to risk trading at these levels anymore I'm out. and good freaking luck.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
I take it that's you last post then, as you have no interest in VLS.
Sirt } Ref.. Investors / Funds (VLS)
Lansdowne Partners Limited is currently the largest shareholder, with 18% of shares outstanding. In comparison, the second and third largest shareholders hold about 8.3% and 7.7% of the stock.
You sound so desperate to trash VLS ..other renewable energy companies just mean good news for the sector. As more and more are looking to invest in these types of businesses.
The energy sector in renewable fuels is definitely heating up ! ...
Good find expat ....
Sirt, Please no more "if's and buts ".. getting tedious now.
BA have stated they will buy every drop produced ..Demand strongly outweighs supplies..
Every Airline will be looking to obtain these fuels in large quantities.
It's also might be worth mentioning that the fuels produced by these plants like (VLS),
would reduce maintenance costs and extend the life for these Engines.
A "Cleaner Fuel Burn" would help reduce the high cost maintenance (flying hrs - per engine)
very appeling to Airlines.
Aircraft taken out of service is lost revenue.
Jzcatch ....Go to the IAG website and research it under sustainability and renewable fuels ..etc
Go to the IAG website and research it under sustainability and renewable fuels ..etc
Correct about the Trent Engines .... and what Airline has Trent's fitted to its aircrafts in large numbers ...Yep, we all know that.
One Rolls Royce biggest UK customers.

What if I very strange is that you and Jimmy joined on the same day last week.. Both with no other interest than picking holes in VLS. It's obvious that you both know very little about the project...
Which one of the Husband & Wife team is wearing the trousers today?
Just to correct some of your facts Jimmy -
British Airways on its own, had 42 flights today just out of Heathrow not including Gatwick. The last flight leaves tonight at 10:30PM (23/1/21). I grant you the traffic figures are lower than what would usually be expected. Due to Covid19 restrictions obviously.
BA is also operating Cargo flights as well as passenger flights during these difficult times.
(Ensuring that these most needed medical supplies arrive here in the UK on time)
BA - (IAG) have plenty of funds... Do you remember, just recently IAG raised more than enough funds to operate for over 1 yrs without flying a single aircraft.
BA -(IAG) is 100% committed to the Velocys project. Its investors have very deep pockets and are in strong support of BA.
BA contributed around 83% of IAG total profits in recent years and are well postioned for the future growth.
Latest news out ... IAG are in process of adding the 6th airline to the group (Air Europa).
Please read the section under IAG Sustainability presentation ...makes great reading below for any VLS investors willing
to look forward.

"Innovating and investing in future fuels, aircraft and carbon technologies"
Hope this balances the books a little jimmy
Ref. Jimmy ... don't waste your time he only joined yesterday so has no interest apart from ****ging VLS of .
Reason for Shell to leave ..Shell own Fuels opportunities which leverage our own technology.
Conflict of interests
