Legion Group plc, the AIM listed security services provider announces a trading update as follows: · Sales in excess of £60m · Gross Profit 16% · Operating profit in excess of £3.1m · Non recurring integration costs £2.1m The Company has completed its integration of the two acquired businesses within the financial year and is now positioned to focus on growing the brand and continuing to consolidate the security sector. The Company has not been entirely immune to the economic downturn and bad debts in the year totalled £500k made up of both historic write offs and debts from the acquired business units. Legion Group has taken the strategic decision to not significantly reduce margin as many in the sector have chosen to do. The strategy was to protect margin and continue to develop the brand through delivering a high quality service. The Boards view was that once operating margins have been eroded they are very difficult to regain. Going forward the Company has a strong order book with many 3, 5 and 7 year contracts and continues to support public sector, critical national infrastructure and blue chip clients. The Company is well placed to continue to enhance the brand and is in discussions and is developing its plans to move into other areas of support services under the Legion Group name.

great recovery share i agree. I also do nt think they wanted to let on just how busy they are in case of a false dawn but the recuitment gives the game away. there is only one other better recovery stock out there IMO in terms of upside but has increased risk as you would expect. in a similar sector as well................ if you are interested in checking it out you will see it soon enough.

me too. this is just coming out of the mother of all depressions in the building industry. they have done well and are busy at the moment. but the cautionary statement is par for the course these days. look at inch tanked on results well above now. sell on news scenario! seems plenty still want to buy a piece of the company tho. infact it looks to me that buys outweigh sells already. as tuggers said, bit of scaremongering for cheap shares I think. this is a no brainer and will be double this sp by end of the year no doubt
