Centrica is a widow maker, so many new guys here all jumping and puffing. This share stayed glued to the ground when vaccine news broke. Even with oil rallying, people still using gas and electricity. just compare Cna with Cineworld with zero revenue/ mega debt/ acquisition lawsuit/ huge lease liabilities/ streaming competition..........yet it has rallied more.

Why even follow the crazy broker recommendations, they are leeches and useless a**holes! Vantage tower plus rotation into value stocks would lift VOD not the useless c***s

Where are the rampers from last night? Huge Director buys are needed plus spirit energy sale for this to move.

I think allocating £1.4b for the pension deficit would be ok, CNA as a company needs to invest to replace direct energy’s lost revenue. IG bond rating needed so some debt must be paid, maturities must be extended while investing in future energy tech or whatever the ESG f******* like.

Since the 24th of July, we all knew direct energy sale is a done deal. Funny how people dress things up. Directors would be loading up if the money was going to significantly transform the company. Management would be advising staff to buy in since bonus / salary increase won’t be on the cards due to covid.
May be we can buy an AIM miner with some cash then 100 bagger.

Conn did a fantastic demolition job then Ofgem erased our profit margins and summoned zombie competitors from graveyards and boiler rooms.
Renewed customer focus, green energy shift and axing divi 3 years ago would have transformed this company. Let’s see what kind of growth industry O’Shea is going to invest in.......hydrogen/ EV charging would give us mega hype. No profit needed to support a massive rally.

Calm down newbies, there has been no huge Director purchase since the original rns about direct energy sale. The money is definitely for plugging holes as ASPERS said.

Buyback in here, maybe just 5k worth or 10k. Oil is rallying and spirit energy stake sale is the real deal. Direct energy money gets us IG bond status with less debt and minimal pension deficit. Too many newbies here are annoying and too excited about the rns that was overdue, factored in and accounted for already.

Guys, the real news is “SPIRIT ENERGY” stake sale...........MMs know that pension deficit and debt reduction plan will swallow direct energy cash. Spirit cash could be £1 billion, now that money can be invested for growth and to achieve investment grade bond rating.

Gold miners form a cartel and push the POG to $10k overnight. Gold becomes bitcoin slayer in the following days and reaches $100k per oz in 3 months.
Gold ETFs are replaced with Goldcoin crypto which can actually be used to buy normal things not just pay for ransoms / drugs.

Direct energy sale proceeds will only plug pension deficit hole and reduce net debt. Revenue replacement must be figured out too. I know Cna wants IG rating so that could be positive if achieved. Next catalyst is Spirit Energy stake sale. Direct energy sale is old news...........nuclear stake sale is the real wildcard as it is mission impossible.

Why put out rns without the weight? I expect listed companies to think big and focus on the big picture.

Stocks are just different and they do question ones knowledge. You would be kicking yourself for buying Sainsbury’s over Ocado. I have stopped trying to be smart as it gets you in a hole so I divvy up cash and spread it among possible multibaggers.

Keep trying to be smart and you will learn quickly that this market only rewards the brave. Just look at ggp, bitcoin, itm, CWR and Tesla............all fundamentally flawed but with a good story, momentum anything is possible.
FYI we prefer newbies to buy in first then ask questions later..........gotta be bold. Buffett missed out on Amazon cos he was scared!

CNA fell gradually from 400p, I thought great......150p was a steal......bargain! I was dead wrong.....just check the charts and tell me that 150p wasn’t a bargain. Centrica is a sick company, never average down on a sick company. I still hold here and will never add......breakeven is still at 150p. 40p is not a bargain, the company is so dodgy that MMs dismissed direct energy sale.

Sold at 11p, back in at 84p...........proper stumbler! The SP was just above 40p after the ABB rns, where were you?

Just buy, don’t worry too much............you will miss the next ggp with your attitude.

Another graveyard for investors, it seems highly indebted, zero growth and highly regulated companies should be left alone.
Best to invest companies with growth buzz......Ocado, just eat, entain, flutter are few examples that won’t get you depressed.
VOD and similar shares have been taken over by pension funds who lend out all their shares since they only want divi + interest for certain period and the collateral (bond) received would guarantee original amount paid.
