Just had an email from X-O to say they’re not participating in the open offer but I may be able to find another platform who will and transfer my shares back to them. That’s nice of them isn’t it? How do I qualify for the offer if all my shares (going back 8 years) are with X-O?
22.5p after the credit committee has approved the deal ……. Never thought it would happen but not complaining !!
Late October/ Early November is good. They get an early start on bulbs planted in spring.
I've just emailed Dee, 100% behind you
Well, it's never going to make it easy to turn blue when your buys show up as sells, like mine just has!!
If you throw enough money at someone, they'll happily forget their principles - look at Nick Clegg.
MInd you, I recently bought VAST - so perhaps I haven't learned anything from KDNC! :)
....I've seen it far BELOW that ......
Absolutely right it's a waiting game. I've been in REM/KDNC for over 6 years now. My breakeven was 24p and I've seen it far that for most of the time I've held the shares.
I'm just happy that KDNC is no longer my shameful guilty secret that didn't 'DYOR' properly. Waiting a few more more weeks for the deal to be signed is no problem for me !
....my six year quest to break even will be over.
Best wishes to all the dreamers out there
"Eccles......check out details of CGT and income tax on shares held in an ISA."
It's really simple Eccles - there are no CGT or income tax liabilities on stocks and shares held in ISA's .
Apologies - "I bought my first REM shares in 2014 for 1.17p (now £1.17!)"............ still very bitter about it :)
I bought my first REM shares in 2014 for 0.114p (now £1.14!) and had over a million at one point because Lithium was going to make me my fortune. They hardly ever went up in value but I kept topping up through the falls. Poor BOD decision followed poor BOD decision and in the end I decided they were useless so I stopped buying in 2018, just hoping for a miracle. Dipped my toe back in the water in mid 2020, got my breakeven to 24p and was still a country mile away from it. After 7 long painful years, it looks like this three legged donkey may actually finish a race and get me my money back. Lesson for the future, put your money on the horses, you'll probably lose it all but at least it's over quickly.
Meanwhile the steady monthly drip feed into my Japanese tracker and multi asset pension funds has, despite a few ups and downs, provided solid returns and none of the drama. When I was younger I liked roller coasters, now I prefer a slowly ascending cable car and the expectation of a lovely alpine view at the top. :)
I've been watching these boards for over 6 years now but I've never posted anything before. Bought my first REM shares in 2014 and thought I'd be a Lithium millionaire by now - I need 10p more on the SP just to breakeven . I got shafted (pun intended) on Sirius Minerals and BCN have only just pulled themselves out of the red for me. Everyone of these has been a multibagger in hundreds of posts. I'm retiring in April and the most valuable lesson I've learned about AIM is, don't invest anything that you can't afford to lose . Happy Christmas everyone and keep your spirits up (to just above the ice cubes)
