You are being kind to him. Perhaps we will see more emphasis on marketing and communications now.
Sir, Making hydrogen a central plank of a green-energy revolution should energise us all, not just the prime minister (“A hydrogen-fuelled future energises Johnson”, Comment, Sep 18, letter, Sep 19). A greater use of green hydrogen will significantly reduce emissions from heavy transport and from homes, which together account for approximately one quarter of the UK’s emissions. Hydrogen technology can protect and create jobs in the north, the Midlands and coastal communities, levelling up the economy as well as making a huge impact on our ability to hit net zero by 2050. The full weight of government support is now needed to turn vision into reality and to unlock the latent private sector investment that is required. Many of our international competitors recognise hydrogen’s enormous potential and have therefore adopted national hydrogen strategies. It is time for the UK to follow suit and to make this a field in which we lead.

James Forsyth reports BJ is personally very keen on hydrogen. JS's wife is Sunak's Director of Strategy at the Treasury so we can assume he is knowledgeable in this.
Article in Scottish section .... Here's the intro.
Emissions from buses, bin lorries and gritters could be dramatically reduced in Scotland under plans to build a network of hydrogen stations.
The first plant will be built on the outskirts of Glasgow near Whitelee wind farm with hopes of it being in operation within two years.
Other locations are being examined by a consortium called Green Hydrogen for Scotland, which comprises Scottish Power Renewables, the gas provider BOC and the energy storage specialist ITM Power.
RH69: How did you manage to acquire a private discussion board??? ;-)
Waylow - UK deaths from flu are between 10k and 20k pa depending on circs. About 60k+ contract it.
I don't know global numbers.
I agree with Lyndhurst1973. I also sold about 750k shares with an avg of just under 20p which hurt a lot.
I also put it into ITM, Ceres and PHE and Amazon and eventually will recover. I think Hydrogen is a more likely winner and even if there is a rescue through dilution the share price will not double or triple anytime soon.
As many have said, big boys are called big for a reason. And they generally manage to win.
If they are doing so well they should say so.
I agree, but this company does not exactly have a reputation for excellent comms.
Unfortunately.
I did likewise with 730k shares. I put it into ITM and Ceres. More than happy and expect to see continuing rises there. Hydrogen is the future, not electric.
As it now clear, the $500m bond was a trap. And we are in it.
As ever the City eats up the small investor, the rich get richer and the idea of a share owning society is trashed just as we have seen the idea of a property owning society trashed over the last 40 years.
CF thought he could beat the big boys. What hubris.
And deep shame on the Govt for not supporting this. Northern Powerhouse my bottom.
Why is Hutton there??? He was supposed to be the great contact to get the Govt underwriting wasn't he?
"Wondering if a drone flying over the north yorks moors with super-sensitive detectors looking at the ground could pick up the faint tremor of underground activity."
Or you could use a couple of the fracking protesters from the other side of the country as dowsing kit. They'd pick up any underground tremors no probs.
This is not ISA money. Not at this rate and so much.... summat's up.
I have no plans to sell. Ever.
Divis and inheritance.
Myo if it's for the sax, then this is the one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ukZmiFKzog
Who can say what is behind the question and it's timing; however it is clearly a positive sign and coming from the PM in such a forum, a strong one.
So I bought more.
We would have to be out of the EU for that. The 4th Rail Directive prevents nationalisation and in fact requires member states to open their railways to more competition. (I don't think SNCF got the memo).
It's why Corbyn wants out.
Lengthy analysis with buy recommendation.
I'd like to fully endorse Potashman and Ironman's posts. Ditto. I have learnt a lot from many on these boards. I too have been buying for over 5 years and have no intention of ever selling. These are for divis and inheritance.
