Striking without the support of Unite makes no sense as you say, i'm sure without the £70 a day they've been getting from Unite they wouldn't have been on strike this week.

Where has this been in the media? Do you have a link? I did not think they would be legally allowed to withhold such information as surely it's market sensitive.

Wouldn't bank on a huge reaction in the share price until next week when (hopefully) it's been formally agreed upon.

I can't see how they cannot accept. I think they were lucky to get this new offer as someone else said below I think Unite misjudged this big time, the public will be out with pitch forks if they don't accept.

Why would they offer a new deal they would be foolish to do so imho. Unite have not said what they want exactly, just that the offer is not good enough. Drivers on social media say it's not about the pay it's the T&C's but this is just to try and garner some public support which is obviously not with them as all I have seen is them holding banners saying "pay up". Unite want NEX make the first move so they have the upper hand when it comes to negotiations.

An independent arbitrator like Street has proposed may not be a bad idea and would surely favour NEX as from what I have read, doing my best to be neutral (difficult as a shareholder I know) the unions are being unreasonable and if this deal was put to an anonymous ballot I would expect it to be agreed.

The strikes are postponed but not entirely in the rear view mirror just yet, let them ballot and accept and then we may see it get priced in.

This is why I ditched leveraged products like these, when you're up it doesn't seem to be by enough when you're down it's by too much. Never saw it the complete inverse before though!

I believe this is reference to the easyjet chief exec reacting to the news that green countries will require a more expensive but more accurate polymerase chain reaction test instead of the cheap but less accurate lateral flow test before departure back to the UK. The cost of the test would need to be paid for by the traveller and they're about £100 each.
