bahkyt - In the UK we have 'Extinction Rebellion' glueing themselves to the house of commons stands in protest at Government failings etc. I doubt you could find a country in the entire world where activism isn't rife during elections?

It doesn't change the fact that CASP have just reported that they believe they have 58 square KM of oil under their main structure and have just struck 4 for 4 on their deep drills. Certainly not the day to complain today and we have had many such days over the previous months.

Caution always required but possibly a touch of optimism can be thrown into the mix today?

bakhyt - I think I bought in just as you were selling out. All I would say and suggest is that you look at the inward investment from international companies over the coming years. Huge money is flowing into Kazakhstan at the moment to develop their oil fields as they are seen as a reasonably stable country with good government structures in place for international companies. I would say that your concerns are slightly misplaced. Things are finally moving in the right direction and the case for investment is starting to look very strong. I am likely to add on this news during the coming days.

It seems that it is all about A8 over the coming months then. It does appear to be going very well so I will be praying to the god of oil each night that they don't make a mistake and can actually reach the next target at 5300m.

The figures on the oil are mind blowing if they can prove them up. Is CASP about to turn a corner this year?

Very sorry, but this is very exciting news! As a new investor, I didn't expect to receive news like this within a couple of months. As you say, early days but what an announcement!

Did I just read correctly - 58km of oil? That's another Tengiz then with no Sulphur! No wonder they have been keeping things quiet the last few years!

Not sure I follow? We can't have gas in the salt cap can we? Surely we need to be through the salt layer before any gas or oil shows? Carverisms? No different from any other Chairman on any other AIM company. All full of wind but very little delivery. The one positive is that A8 flowing or not has very little to do with our Chairman. I would imagine that the company are now desperate for a flowing deep and would be more than happy to plaster it all over the various media outlets were it to happen. I'm already down on my investment here but getting in at the bottom is not a perfect art. Looking at the charts, there is a fair chance of getting towards 18p on a flowing A8. I'm not sure when the Mjf production licence will start. Some saying June at the earliest? Got to say, judging by what I have seen so far, I would be more than happy with that.

Got in on the lows thankfully. Just wondering, is there any point staying in? Time to take money out of worth hanging around?

Could have made a killing here getting it at 1.4p...knowing me I would have held and would now be nursing a heavy loss. Lesson learned to keep away from rampy shares! A close call!

I'm already learning that when casp say a week, you can multiply by four. Still, got to be a good entry at this level? I thought the salt was to 4400m at A8? Oil starts around that level or am I incorrect? My guess is that they are not at that level yet but getting close? Reading over previous news and this seems to be the case?

What a bunch of moaners! Every time I log on here there is some disgruntled 'shareholder' moaning about how much they hate casp and stamping their feet. If you truly are a shareholder - which seems very doubtful, just sell up and go find another company you like. Who stays in a company they hate and think will go private? Who moans about the Chairman of the company and then buys shares (mrcautions)? I get the feeling there are a few porkies being told here.

Reports are on the news that shareholder value is non-existent if an offer is made? Why would he need to make shareholders an offer for the equity? This is a very rare thing to do in a situation like this.

This is like watching paint dry! Took some shares a few weeks ago for A8 - come on CASP - give us some news.

Have they drilled N4 and N5? I can't see but no mention of N5 not being drilled yet? What is in the stacked target? Is it worth buying in for?

I bought in here the other day at 24p! Stroke of luck there!

Is it worth waiting for a drop below 4p? I have seen most shares drop to placing price eventually!

I will start researching now. I am very new to all of this so just trying to get some investor opinions.
