A thought occurred to me, could some of this selling be attributed to long term PIs who are sitting on large paper gains and who are not in ISAs deciding to top slice a bit now and be exposed to current CGT rates rather than waiting until the next tax year in a few weeks and risk much higher rates if this comes to pass
I have just woken up to the very sad news of Nigel passing,my deepest condolences to his family his kindness and empathy with the other board members always stood out for me and the world is a lesser place without him in it RIP
Tily, I don’t post much although I have been a holder for many many years , enjoy the pirate banter but more specifically yours and several other posters here who post up the technical analysis is very much appreciated and my thanks to you for this selfless contribution. For my family it is no exaggeration to say this has been a life changing journey already how much more so in the future we all wait to see. Good luck my friend.
Agreed Saxon, but my solution to that is that i intend to purchase a chunks of shares if possible in whatever company that does take this monster over so that i will always have some skin in the game, win win for me after 10 years here
From my side i sincerely hope that the entire share capital of GGP is NOT acquired shortly after the MRE, that would mean that Scallywag and all the other tenements are bunged in as well and we haven't a clue what is there right now. Fine sell haveiron at a fair price but don't be ridding us of the rest of the assets without so much as one core being examined. I will caveat that though to the extent that if NCM revert with a humongous offer for the lot then obviously risks will have to be balanced. Anyone else feel the same way ?
Hi Rowka,
No tactics here i can assure you, just a very contended shareholder to be in both of these fantastic companies. I have held EUA shares for more than 10 years and appreciate your technical input here as much as the next person.Chill.
Indeed they are Stix. I think we can all appreciate balanced discussion and comparison between two of the most exciting companies i have had the good fortune to come across many years ago. if it wasn't for people mentioning other opportunities on boards i would never have know about EUA or GGP come to that. Totally different scenario to someone ramping across multiple boards with the usual nonsense comments ! Hold equal amounts of EUA and GGP and not going anywhere.
Echo that, always appreciated Rowka sharing his knowledge and analysis here although ashamed to admit that a lot of it went right over my head ! Anyway got the gist of it and distilled from that we are sitting on a tidy asset here. As a 10 year veteran i would be overjoyed with anything over 40p in a sale but some of those figures with a GBP sign in front well such is the stuff of life changing dreams
I would like to add my voice to those showing appreciation for Gervaise's and Callum's efforts. I have never met either individual as not attended an AGM but as as a very long term holder from the days of .5p and less i can honestly say that not only my life but my children's and extended family will be impacted for the better once this is all over. if either of you read this board my very deep gratitude and good fortune to you both, you deserve it !
A1EX, Excellent work there with the satellite image, i am also in GGP and there is a poster there who does something similar there with the images from Sentinel. He has pretty much been canonized for his public spirited offerings, deservedly so in my humble opinion,. really appreciate your efforts here.
