I don't agree with the old adage that children should be seen, and not heard. I don't think you should be seen, either, when it comes to message boards.

Rrb, interesting you bring up the spot price of NG. My 'conspiracy theory' as Jim describes it does indeed call into question how much production all those wells actually pump out each day. I believe DEC is lying about that, and its' hedges have been, and continue to be, at a greater amount than the wells are able to produce. DEC has to make up the difference when those future contracts come due for physical delivery, by buying spot contacts. SO the current low price is actually helping DEC and at the moment, paradoxically, they're probably actually making a profit on this trading. But, yeah, it's a conspiracy theory, lol. But when Jim or MrG or whoever it was questioned why DEC hadn't entered Chapter 11 yet, as I'd predicted last Autumn, it's because the low spot price has bailed DEC out. For the moment, at least.

And of course, Jim, it goes without saying, that your girlfriend bought at the bottom, and the trailing stop kicked in just below that uplift it had, less the 10% drop that triggered the stop loss, of course. Pure genius, up there with the exploits of trek baloney, investor extraodinaire ! Such a very narrow window at the end of June 2023, and you timed it...perfectly. 👍🤣

And you're right, of course. It's not a loss until you sell, or trading is halted and it enters administration. Meantime, you're collecting that 2% dividend. So, all good. I guess.

ESG investing seems to have taken a hit - Shell committing to keeping Gas and Oil production high as its v profitable and their green projects are much less so.

Lol, Rrb, I think we're asking the same questions, just worded differently. Although, you think DEC accounting is basically honest, it's just the well retirements issue that is crooked. While I think everything about DEC since the closing of the Tanos II deal is crooked.

Seriously MrG, if DEC production was as they stated it was, and every acquisition has been accretive to earnings, as they've claimed them to be, then why, regardless of share price and what may have been the cause for it's continuing slide to zero, why are they paying out so much less in dividends to shareholders when every deal has added to earnings and profits ?
