If the results are good the market participants will relook at the fundamentals and determine a fair value from that - dividing by the number of shares a will determine the share price. There will clearly be volatility around as not an exact science and different participants may take a different view on key assumptions. Market sentiment will come into play as well.

The number of shares in issue and therefore the price per share is largely irrelevant.

As you saw early in the year Trump never follows through with his threats (not least because he is wedded to an increase stock market) so any fall will unwind quite quickly (although for sure a market correction is due). In any case the FTSE future you circulated is suggesting a 1.5-2% fall for the general market. Gold is likely to fair less badly (though not immune).

The TW publication today suggests he was being disingenuous about his communication with TW. Given that TW is well known and respected by many (if not all) I believe, but I may be wrong, likely falls under the market conduct rules for price manipulation.
