the trades don't reflect any panic imo, the sells are all fairly small, and are not evidence that bigger holders are offloading.
Can someone remind me when suspension will kick in please? I like to keep abreast of events LOL.Will it be before opening on Tuesday if no news on Monday? Or was it on Feb 1 i.e. Friday?
The discussion will be interesting on here if the shares are suspended! Charter plane to Aus for LSE PIs perhaps? Paid for first class by MRS? (They do love their English private investors after all!)
the change of emphasis in the tenor and texture of the discussion on here now.
The point was, is, and will be in the run up to the deadline is that as win4 again pointed out this pm there's a mismatch between the "advanced stage" MRS talked about months ago and the lack of any news after that. But that wouldn't in itself have worried me and others had it not been against the background of all the other shite we've experienced with MRS in the last three years, old board or new (which is not entirely different from the old, and bearing in mind the legacy and reputation of Zorbas on other shares too).
As a holder I hope this goes up, but there are other ops out there too. GLA, g
"Your post is also lacking clarity with some poor English....." END
And how many essays have we had to put up with from Mr Trout over the last three months LOL? How many words has he written? Where's his imaginary examiner LOL? An exercise in talking to oneself if ever there was one........
I do wish you well, SL, I really do. Funnily enough 28 was the price I first bought in at too, though prices pre-suspension are treated by many as being in a way separate now. The mistake I made in this share as with many in the past was to average up after buying again in the 3s, could have sold at good profit at 10p. This is where posts focussing on the theoretical fair price (which is often quite a way higher than the price at time of posting such targets) can weaken the resolve in readers of said posts to stick to much lower sell targets. Over the years I've learnt what works for me and what doesn't, but I don't often act nimbly enough to put that into practice. The fact that MRS has been seen as a slow burner for years with a high potential sp makes it a classic pitfall case in this regard imo. g
With that kind of average price you sound like the kind of poster I should be wishing well, Albino. I think an average price says a lot about any given poster's trading history etc on here, in fact it's one of the best benchmarks against which to measure a poster's wider comments.
Roughly speaking, I do not particularly wish anyone well on here who says their average is under 4p, Maybe even below 5. For those holding between 5-7 I sort of wish half-well, and my only genuine good wishes go to those real LTHs holding with an av of 7p+
The ridiculous Thing About forecasts on These bbs of 25p+ is that we all know nobody who is reading this bb all day and everyday and who has been doing so for the last 3 years will have the nerve/patience/resolution/bloodymindedness (call it what you will) to wait for 25p before selling!!!
In fact it's highly likely those posters quoting a high number have a far lower exit point in mind and will get out on the quiet or delay announcing their sell way before their posted target number is ever met.
Meanwhile, the vast majority of readers of this bb will by now be seeing 7p as the holy grail and will openly declare they're more than happy to have finally said goodbye to Zorbas if they're lucky enough to get out at that price.
Ironically, the most committed LTHs, the so-called long term holders, often retain a relatively small long term holding but who at the same time are also some of the most adept traders who at certain times buy big and hold a large amount for a short time, whilst constantly claiming merely to be long term holders who are waiting for the exaggerated high target point. For me, such investors are not LTHs...….nor are they even really investors.
Hi - and well, this seems to be a classic example of what happens all the time on these bbs…...the 99% herd who once having bought in refuse to allow any negative views, which many times get proven over time to have been 100% correct. The thing is when you look back on some of these examples, they're poignant and actually quite funny.
Interesting poster, he called anr dead right all along, his view on that was rejected by the vast majority, but he was proved 100% Right, so is clearly worth reading. Another recent post on his Twitter account caught my eye:
"I see Zorbas and his two bit bag carrier got a jolly good drubbing today - I avoid anything they are even remotely connected to." END (15 Jan)
There's a poster called yasx, I think you all know him, who took a dim view of ANR back in 2017. On 17 Jan he repeated one of his posts on here back in Dec 17 recently on his Twitter account:

Nine days to go till the final day in the calendar month of what is known as January.
Do RNSs come on a Sunday?
The comment of the day!
Price of trout will probably go down after Brexit, like all other items of clothing, shoes, supermarket food etc which will be one of the major tangible benefits for poorer people. As for the price of trout though, that's already gone down before Brexit's happened LOL!
on posts over the weekend, I see that there's been some sinful behaviour on here, clearly some of you didn't attend church yesterday. Church is v good for the calmness, you know, thou shalt not give in to temptation etc
I attended Church yesterday, in fact several services one after the other, and the funny thing is that all the sermons had a common theme - fish. In particular the fish known as trout, with the preachers making an interesting point about hubris. It was a complicated subject and expressed in a typical long.drawn out church sermon kind of way, but all I remember is that the words trout and hubris were nearly always mentioned in the same sentence.
Amazing that Res 4 wasn't passed! In the good ol days the BoD were always able to pass anything they wanted to in order to screw shareholders! But why was this Resolution up to be voted on in the first place LOL? This reads like it was the BoD who were thwarted in another tempt to disadvantage holders. Without wishing - God forbid - to bother ourselves with 'semantics', what were the details of the vote to turn down this latest PI-hostile Intention by the BoD? What's the plural of trout? Trite? LOL I know he doesn't like semantics, but wise not for his condition to become infectious on here. Catching up with comments of yesterday, Glandore and MasterR made good comments and were predictably shot down by people unwilling or unable to address their points. There is continuing evidence that the BoD like to keep things under wraps…..there, that's a neutral term to use…….however, the comment that "Underpromise to overdeliver always" from a poster at 3.23 in the morning takes the biscuit of the day!
The low price has just got a bit lower - and we are STILL awaiting that RNS.
This Nomad thing is quite well named when you think about it LOL - MRS Investors on here are like nomads in the desert staring after that oasis across the desert sand. Will the oasis prove real, or an optical Illusion?
gruesome twosome's very good! I like it!
Of course to many on this bb they're not gruesome at all. Or if they have doubts they won't acknowledge them. Or think it's bb politically incorrect to so so LOL
I hear this is due to be held on the 18th. If the Nomad is not announced before then, will the sang froid on here be maintained? If it doesn't come before, then what I wonder will they say about it at the AGM??? That'll be time to listen to the wording very very carefully!!! Don't be fobbed off by casual promises that all is well.
Tbh it's Sunday ev and I can't be bothered Looking thru old RNSs Right now (will do tomorrow) but is it true that they said at the outset of making the deal that there might be a delay in the payment??!!! It does seem extraordinary that anyone in Business would accept that…….or it Shows the poor Quality of the partner (customer) they have to work with, which is v worrying imo. As someone else said here, what was all the talk, all the Claims About doing bsiness with proper reliable 1st-world (!) Partners.
A BoD cannot Control a share Price, that's obvious, but any BoD that does care About shareholder value would be expected to comment on the v high percentage fall surely. The SP does matter Business wise because any placing is usually done at on or below current sp. I repeat - the BoD should face searching Questions. Do they now really still Need Africa in light of all the other apparent Progress? Such 'progress' has certainly not been refelcted in the sp and the BoD should say sth About that.
(Apologies for the caps, German Computer, can't Control it!)
Intense questioning - possibly by MI6 interrogators - needs to be conducted at the next AGM.
Are the BoD really bothered about share holder value, or are they content to see the share price decimated?
When do they intend to put their hands in their pockets and buys shares in their own company that is simply propped up by private investors?
