Hi, I understand your sentiments and there's a lot of questionable behaviour about the transparency and adherence to market rules I would agree. You evidently have strong feelings about proceedings/events since the major change to the shares listing some two years back. My concern is if there is antagonism on this postings board we could provoke a reaction which would cause the possible delisting of the share (as they could go private I believe)which would not serve anyone's interest unless the buy back offer generous (ie north of 8.50$). I have no doubt about the sincerity of your assertions (as you are aware I know a lot about the pre-history ie 2009-2011) and believe this 'investment' jinxed from the outset given its provenance. Might I ask if you (and maybe others) have clear evidence and a trail of records (as I'm fairly sure you might) that could support the comments you make why you do not contact the regulatory authorities direct as you evidently have little joy with the Board themselves? Finally, I haven't broken even-far from it but I'm resigned to possibly never regaining my 'stake money' (as you may recall it was part of a settlement for monies owing by the original MD for unpaid consultancy). I doubt the little surge of late significant..........and I won't say I'm hopeful.......honestly I'm not.!!!!
You win some you lose some. Never get emotionally attached to a share or investment is a time old dictum that serves one well. The angst is just not worth it. Mental detachment might be seen as a luxury by some but good for the blood pressure and sanity I find I am just sorry that you have so much pent up anger and that you feel the need to spray it around. Accept that you might have made an error and move on would be my advice in all good faith.
Thank you for your efforts Karina. I am sure the majority of LTHs appreciate all your endeavours to force CRV's BoD to recognise their obligations. I will also write to them direct as you suggest and to the Regulators too. The more who do (and declare they are doing so on this site) the more the better!!!
Hi, Hargreaves Lansdowne have my holding of CRV in a nominee account, together with other more well known holdings. They've always advised me that if I want to deal in the CRV shares I have to contact them direct. The others I can trade electronically. Recently that asked me to self certify that I was a sophisticated investor as defined by the FCA if I wanted to buy more Craven shares (selling was no problem). I don't know if this helps.......
If the decision was made to de-list and take it private my understanding is the share price would then be related to the NAV prevailing and an offer made concommitant with that value for each share to the holder(s). Am I way off beam?
It is so refreshing to read your posts Munster and I for one am glad to see you back on here. It makes a very pleasant change to some of the more frustrated comment often seen. I actually think there is one more comment to add in reinforcement of the sage observations/criteria you cite: one should never become emotionally attached to a share. Such detachment can be hard but it saves a lot of angst. Save it for a horse or favourite sporting team!!! I much look forward to your next contribution.......
Annoyingly I won't be able to attend as hoped due to an unforeseen business requirement. It'd be great to hear from anyone who does go. Can i add I'm disappointed I won't finally get to meet some of the contributors to this site. Anon.
Just seen AGM time. Crafty! Virtually impossible for anyone to benefit from a cheap day return if travelling by train. Bizarrely a Ryanair trip to the Emerald Isle would probably have been cheaper!! I won't let them put me off though TC. I look forward to seeing you there. Anon.
A very happy Christmas and healthy New Year to all the regular, and not so regular, contributors on this site. Fingers crossed 2018 sees a real change in the fortunes of everyone holding this 'enigmatic' stock. I hope to be able to meet up with many of you at the AGM in London on 18th January. Anon.
Thank you for your kind reply Steve. If I'm nearby tomorrow afternoon I might well turn up and if so share any noteworthy observations but I'm expecting it to be fairly procedural. More interested by putting faces to names if truth be known. Anon.
