RE: Rival bidders - 🦇 Batman begins1 Dec 2025 16:21
"My understanding of the $250 million arriving at WG under the takeover offer is that it can be converted into a loan if another buyer outbids Sid and is successful.
The period between the $250 million being deposited with WG and the court ruling date (which has yet to be set) would allow another bidder to come forward, knowing that there is potentially $250 million of working capital available—albeit on loan terms.
If I were Sid, I would hold off on making that deposit until the court date was confirmed, and only action it at the very last minute. Conversely, if I were a buyer, I would wait until the funds were deposited before revealing my hand.
Of course Sidra could hoover up many shares in the mean time at 25p, make a nice profit if out bid or reduce its overall cost if successful.
I think this could get spicy once the court date is announced and more so towards the actual date set, until then its simply treding water waiting till the date to be announced."
99.99999999999% certainty that will be a rival bid to snap up Would.
