Ricky, I totally agree that the Chinese won’t stay for anywhere near the amount of time we have waited. If that happens, ie we don’t get approval within say 1 year, it’s straight to arbitration in my opinion. The fact that China has named the Phulbari “project” in their ‘Belt and Road Initiative’ means to me they must already have been given assurances through back door diplomatic channels, otherwise it’s egg on face for them if Hasina says “no”. Does anyone know if one of their B&R I’s has been turned down once announced anywhere, never mind in BD? I’ll take a look. So for me it’s game on, get your tickets and take your seats.

Bangladesh are utilising coal. It’s been the government policy for years. 40000MW from coal, half imported and half own coal. There is no other viable cost effective option. They must be allowed to develop to a middle income country. People who say we won’t get the GL are not understanding the ability of the Chinese leveraging the approval. They will imo. If they thought they couldn’t then they wouldn’t enter into an agreement with us. They have. So it comes down to when. 1H 2019? Lots of people positioning themselves at the mo, especially the long term naysayers it seems. Have a strategy and do your own research. From here the strategy you take could make you rich.

No need for massive dilution at all. The mine financing can be paid off in 18 months. The Chinese will get the cash for the coal plants. That will be paid back too. Read the Cazenove note regarding mine finance and route / timeline to debt free.

On further reflection, as we are so illiquid the only scenario that I can think of for using the money to buy shares is to control the market for fund raising. If they were to try to counter any shorting ahead of a placement then I think they’d need deeper pockets. Is 300k GBP enough against a playcee probably raising much more?

So let’s get this right, you want Gcm to use any cash raised at 10p to buy back shares much much higher. Don’t you think that is a waste of money? On the Chinese “investment”? Just yesterday you were saying that Hasina won’t ever give the GL. Why would the Chinese invest in us under that scenario? I have wondered myself if one of the investment partners for the mine will be the Chinese. Lending us cash payable from first coal / electricity income to aid in the whole program would be excellent. Cut out the City vampires who mess with the stock price. I still haven’t worked out why the company wants the option to buy back stock unless it HAS to raise monies at a lowish price just before a massive rise in price and injection of cash. It would cost a lot. Better to be more liquid as my colleagues were unable to buy the stock they wanted on the drop yesterday. Very frustrating.
