AquaeSulis01I) I've done this before when claptrap posts such as this one are posted on our board.I have many friends who have many children and grandchildren.I used the power of social media and asked my friends to conduct a straw pole of the female children in particular.I kept the questions to two.
1.What are their feelings towards environmental credentials of a company when making a fashion purchase.
2.Would they stop buying fashion items from a company with an alleged poor record on sustainability .
Bearing in mind that boo's target market is the 16-24's who in my experience (mainly family and friends families) is that the main focus is phone, snap chat, Twitter, boys or girls, alcohol and such. The replies are coming back thick and fast and the overwhelming thrust is that environmental credentials are low down the list when making a prospective purchase.Similarly sustainability, although a few young girls would be put off if cruelty to animals was involved,I suppose that would come under environment.I spoke with my 16 year old granddaughter who is a very good example as she buys lot from boo, environment or Sustainability are not taken into account when she buys from boo.She is more interested in Love Island, how many followers a certain boo brand ambassador has and most of all price.
Julie Palmer of Begbies Traynor may be following an agenda that we are not aware of , she may be influenced by what the snowflakes are trying to put forward.I remain 100% convinced that there a scaremongers out there who are following the trend to bash company's such as boo who are and will continue to do well.
