Paddy- have always thought the ground to NW of Havieron is highly prospective but really just extending Havieron but with a break in the mineralisation. The gravity anomaly from ZIPA extends up to Apollo on Artemis ground so yes, they could get some of the pickings as well. My best bet for a big find outside the Havieron licence is Paterson Resources ground around Grace. GW
Thanks Paddy. I guess they are drilling the Havieron north magnetic target and the zipa gravity target, which are slightly offset like at Havieron. My thinking is that an anticlinal fold axis goes through Havieron up through this area in a NNW direction and there will be another dome structure as a results of cross folding with an anticlinal structure induced by the Havieron thrust. This really could be the next big one !
Here is a reference explaining why you get magnetic bullseye anomalies in plunging folds.

You can download the pdf at this site. Figures 2.13 and 2.14 show how modelling predicts a bullseye anomaly at the nose of the fold and along the plunging fold axes. The offset of the bullseye from the nose of the fold depends on the degree of plunge of the fold, whether its a plunging syncline or anticline and where you are in the world. This explains the bullseye anomalies in the Wilkie Quartzite at Kraken, Scallwag Project (nose of plunging syncline ) and Outamind likewise. Could be a waste of time drilling these targets. You need a dome caused by cross folding (two intersecting anticlines) in the Wilkie Quartzite. The extension of the anticline north of Havieron could be prospective at the boundary of Artemis and GGP tenements but there are better places. You need an anticlinal structure to intersect a major thrust
Hi Bamps and Pick and Shovel, The magnetic bulls eye anomaly at Havireon I believe will turn out to be due to a dome structure, with the magnetic Wilkie Quartzite circling the dome and the carbonates of the Punta Punta Formation in the middle which host the Havieron deposit. Some sulphides like FeS will contribute to the anomaly but not the main cause. Domes are the best trap for mineralising fluids in the Paterson eg Telfer. I believe the dome is caused by a high angle intersection of a plunging anticlinal fold (with a Northerly trending fold axis) with an anticlinal fold formed by the Havieron thrust . The western limb of the northerly trending fold has been intruded by a dyke and the fold extends up to Outamind where there is a complimentary plunging anticline with a bullseye anomaly at the nose. From Outamind going northwest along the synclinal fold axis you have a series of bulls anomalies including Goliath and Los Diablos. These will caused by the nose of the plunging magnetic quartzite units and will probably not host ore deposits. Can explain with diagrams if anyone wants or give references GW X
The reason that Kraken was a dud is the fact that the structure is an anticline and not a syncline. Still produced a magnetic bullseye anomaly. Ive got a good idea where the next Havieron will be found. Not on GGP exploration licences.
I think Kraken explained the bulls eye anomalies. The contact between the Wilkie Quartzite and the Punta Punta Formations is highly magnetic and produced the bulls eye anomaly. My guess is the base of the Wilkie Quartzite is highly magnetic . If you have a magnetic lithology in a sedimentary sequence and the sediments are folded and tipped to one side then you can get bullseye magnetic anomalies. The anomaly occurs at the nose of a plunging syncline and can be offset by the degree of plunge and where you are in the world. Although the the bullseye anomaly at Havieron is not physically related to the mineralisation, it is related to the structural setting i.e. the contact between the Wilkie Quartzite and the Punta Punta Formation. X
The prospect that Greatland would be most interested in is the Tabletop2 anomaly. Bulls eye magnetic anomaly coincident with a gravity anomaly and high IP response. Very similar to Havieron

Hi Paddy,
The statement you highlighted in report - "Further targets outside of Havieron, but within the Havieron Joint Venture area, have been identified with the potential to conduct drilling to test these targets in the future." My feeling is this could be the Apollo target first identified by Artemis and called Marquis. This geophysical anomaly is in the north west corner of the Havieron GGP/ Newcrest licence and goes in Artemis licence to the north and Rio Tinto licence to the west. That will make things interesting
This is what you get when investing in an unsafe jurisdiction like Russia. Director sells millions of shares and no RNS. Buyer has probably found grades have been over reported. Core seeded? Another Bre -X scandal? Who knows. Best invest in Western Australia. Safest jurisdiction in the world for mining projects - and thats a fact
Hi Bamps, Happy New Year to you as well. I agree, the coincidence of magnetic highs and IP anomalies together with elevated mobile metal ions (MIMs) and gravity highs make all the targets highly prospective. Could be that a high density of sulphides like in the high grade zone at Havieron are sitting just above a magnetic granite intrusion. I hope so £££££ :)
Hi Bamps, I don't think you can correlate magnetic anomalies with the amount of mineralisation in the Havieron area. Firstly, there is no magnetite in the Telfer and Havieron mineralisation and for Telfer there is no magnetic or other geophysical anomaly at all. The only magnetic mineral is Pyrrhotite (FeS) which is weakly magnetic. The Havieron magnetic anomaly is likely to be a due to a magnetic granite intrusion at depth (the source of the mineralisation ?) and sulphide mineralisation including Pyrrhotite above. This how the geophysicists at Province have modelled the Table Top 2 anomaly near Telfer. Secondly, at Scallywag for example, much of the magnetic signature of the fold structure there will be due to magnetite in the Wilkie Quartzite together with magnetic intrusions probably at Kraken. The magnetic bulls eye anomalies are significant though as they indicate a magnetic granite that might have mineralisation above them. A much more significant geophysical tool indicating the amount of sulphides present is the IP anomaly - sulphides being much more conductive than silicate minerals.
Absolutely GGPThruandtru. Of all the nearology stocks, Wishbone is the most over hyped and most likely to lose you money. Very small tenements compared with the likes of Artemis, Province, Paterson Resources and Antipa. The only geophysics is reworked old data, no geochemistry (MIM) and I believe some drill holes that have some breccia (wow). Completely over hyped until they get results of any kind. Wishbones can bring you luck but can also choke you. Beware!
I wonder if the other discoveries he made, but did not disclose, are those currently being looked at by Rincon who have just listed on the Australian stock exchange. High grade Gold mineralisation at or near surface and just a few km south of Telfer. Maybe they'll find Jean Pauls' Sway bag, tucker box or billy can :)
Yes Honeybadger. You can buy ASX shares and shares from other exchanges like the United States on ii. I have bought shares for all the small Australian Mining companies around Greatlands Havieron prospect. There is a flat fee of around £9 a month to use the platform and the cost of buying overseas shares is not too bad. Check out their website: www.ii.co.uk
