Chris Heminway, Exec-Chair at Time To ACT, explains why now is the right time for the Group to IPO. Watch the video here.
Hope so! On a revenue and EBITDA basis we were ahead at H1 and management said they expected to be above expectations (only marginally though)
Obviously it’s the net profit that will be the factor here and interest rates at 4% are above the analysts notes which have 3%. While the market hopefully factors this we need to see debt coming down
If BoE hold rates next week that’s a positive for Marlowe. Really hoping bank debt is down
This is great news. I don’t think a premium listing will make the slightest difference but Goold isn’t a strategy guy. If you look at Zeus it’s just IPO’s, there’s no real investment banking happening there. It’s the US activist investor I think is the game changer here
As that means US ideas and potentially US money!
Also stop with the boots thing making this board look daft! And it shows as a few of you haven’t actually understood what a marketplace (in terms of online e-commmerce is!)
Steve from Hull - bought clear whey (no RNS)
Sally from Ashton - bought a dildo (no RNS)
Something is going on here!
There won’t be an RNS as this is the business doing BAU. Ingenuity is supposed to be signing these clients therefore unless the contract was insanely massive it won’t need an RNS
Matalan never had an RNS
You’d think we’d have to RNS every time someone buys a bag of protein the way you lot go. Just chill it makes you look foolish (even more so)
Did the machine patrol dog Marlowe have built? ha

Worknest has launched a partnership with Bupa. Interesting as obviously Marlowe own Optima so could look as though Bupa is helping a rival
Does highlight x-sell potential for us

Also some chat re the announcement yesterday. Not a huge win short term but could be in the medium
https://www.personneltoday.com/hr/chancellor-outlines-plans-to-increase-oh-take-up/
I agree this will smash inflation along with the energy price cap announcement today
The biggest driver of pushing inflation down however will be the one ingredient that’s been missing so far…fear
The noises this time are loud and even though man on the street might not get it this stuff sounds scary and this will 1) tighten credit markets (which is doing the BoEs job for them) and 2) will make consumers slow spending
I think this will pound inflation
Fair enough re the acquisitions
Wow I hadn’t see that (I don’t watch the traders generally)
Budget announcement won’t help Marlowe too much short term but positive steps re making occupational health more mainstream in medium term
If BOE pause that will give us some relief in terms of interest payments
How come Marlowe is the only share you’ve commented on if you mind me asking?
Agree from a regulation pov but they have RNS’d all previous deals for example Griffin Fire a few months back was £0.7m EV and got an RNS
Cedric was tiny (although SaaS so part of the newer business division) but was RNS’d
Looks like a small bolt-on acquire in Feb-23

Not what I want to see at the moment I'd really rather get the debt paid down but this is only small. No RNS issued so they were clearly trying to keep it quiet
Great to see the RTD clear whey. I really thought these would be huge but seems a little slower than I thought getting them on shelves but finally happening
I think if Prime was anything then when kids see they can get protein these will fly
Anacott we did an alcohol website years ago so THG ingenuity selling alcohol is nothing new
All the age verification is is a partnership solution we have bolted on the end
Are we sure on boots?
Boots has been an ingenuity client for ages. It was probably one of the first sites THG did for No7
Also the main link to boots fell away last year being the shared board director/ investor
If something is going on? The shares are moving
No we have always used our own software for Autostore!
From the get go we combined our WMS with Autostore. It’s nothing new it’s just making the point
Rumoured that the gov will introduce an 80% subsidy for SMEs to access occupational health
Given we own Optima and TP we are well placed for this should it become a reality

I think this is the excitement. THG is looking to move to US listing
Didn’t someone share this months ago? Oh yeah….me
I’m not sure if these sites with be mothballed as on demand is the part not doing welll
Both looking to move to US listings. I think this could be the driver for THG as if those businesses are thinking this we certainly know Matt will be as he’s said it in the past
I don’t literally mean two years. More a turn of phrase but my point was we did the Unilever point a while back
I’m just pointing out how new investors are seeing things also
