Hi as I now have original and issue shares will these be tradable in the same way? can I buy and sell new issue shares and will they pay a dividend at all? Will both sets come as one/same price or is it literally treated as two different holdings. I chase dividends apart from Cornish metal who I'm gambling on ( small amount) so happy to hold on NG just unclear best way to treat the new issue shares. learning as I go, many mistakes made but having fun winning with some losing with others. GLA
Ok i think this is similar to what I get with gore street energy (I asked about a smaller second payment on other chat) and this being my first div with LMP maybe it will come in two payments? Im 50/50 in ISA and trading account so hopefully not too much tax on this come end of year. thank for the update all.
Thanks for the info its made it clearer now, my div each time is over 25.00 + the intrest bit so its within the 10.00 limits for reinvestment. As I do regular investing for other shares makes sense to do what you said Swsquires . happy to hear that they intend to keep the div rate. GLA
Ok so now I can buy the rights issue shares at 1.92 but what does that buy me? will I get a whole share as I thought it was set at 6.45. (I took that option up) will i get some sort of dividend from it? I'm looking at topping up the main NG holdings at 8.78 (currently) but not sure if to split etc. sorry if its been asked but you guys/girls have posted a fair bit and couldn't see any similar
Yes it’s 7 new shares per 24 of what you held as of yesterday so I worked mine out as ( rough not true calculation) 1200 / 24 = 50 meaning 50 x 7 is 350 at £6.45 to be paid by 12th June I believe the date was. Seems a very straight forward process. As to other post seems to sell them the gain is not a lot and a long term hold for me.
I have had my options come up on II and its Don't buy or buy before 5th June to be paid for on the 12th June. As NG is my = top holding and its dropped by 2k at current SP on the outside I'm calm but inside its headless chickens time. I understand the fact dividends will lower due to increase amount of shares etc and the SP i think will go a fair bit lower but as a long term hold i will take up this option of 360 shares. I'm interested if people would top up outside of the rights issue at this SP or wait till the share have been issued?
Yes I tried to figure it out as to dividend in new company etc and a bit above my knowledge with all this TBH so I'm setting a price to sell and look for a new investment. will be a 25% gain which I am happy with.
Sorry might be a silly question but I'm kinda new to takeovers etc. What will I get once this sale happens? do I get cash and new shares in the new company, shares for shares once the value of each is worked out ( so 1 share for every 4) Thanks
Scie Thank you for the reply, has made it a lot clearer and I will defiantly look into the pros and cons of this more. That said from what you are saying for now this is not for me. am not a big investor and really just want a steady less complicated share for now while still learning.
Hi All, I reached my comfort zone on AV,M&G and LNG so looked at ntea (northern electric) as an income. Id build up over the years by investing divs from the other 3. steady div over last few yrs at 6% Did a test buy but it was 2p more than share price shown. Something to do with ASK and Bid you don’t get the sp shown for either buy/sell is this to stop day trading? Make you long time investor etc. In my second year of trading so still learning. Know its not correct forum but literally no one on the ntea one. maybe thats telling me something lol
