I know just trying to lighten the mood a little
Calder can you please indicate who that is aimed at. I am feeling a little hard done by x.
Year end 20 - 21
Institutional Investors would hold Colin to task and focus him on Sales and Profit. Unfortunately we do not have that power individually and Colin can play with his train set as he feels fit.
Sorry forgot the positive cash of £5 -£6M carried over from yesterday end 20 - 21 ( see RNS dated 11th Feb).
I am sure staff costings are covered for Q1 but there are lots of other operational cost to consider.
On the up side the cassetting and poaching will be generating some revenue.
I already own a beach hut more more do you want.
The fact that the article says it is to reduce the number of people asked to self isolate really does not indicate more tests will be needed.
Mizman the article headlines on the BBC says they are reviewing the sensitivity of the app. That makes it look like the Government are relaxing the app rules also.
I have a beach hut for sale on the Isle of Wight for £65K and you get a year's supply of Innova LFT's with it.
Lets hope BJ has a planned visit before the 13th July!!!
Neale Hanvey from the Alba party (Kirkaldy & Cowdenbeath) Just asked JB why the Government isn't supporting LFT's manufactured by Omega & Gad instead using a sub-standard Chinese Import.
BJ's response was that the UK Government have invested heavily in the UK LFT industry - typical BJ didn't answer the question.
Shelley - no one can hear the whispers for the tin hats!!
Gavin Williamson is due to give an update on the new regimes for schools and the removal of bubbles tomorrow. Various news articles would have you believe that bubble Isolation will give way to daily LFT testing.
TraderBuckie the Contract does allow ODX to use the loaned equipment if permission is granted. I don't know how the Government would react if asked but I would suggest a powerful commercial argument based around ODX repaying the monies from Phase 1 of the contract and non use by the Government. But if we do see Government orders then my gut feel would be a negative response for obvious reason.
With respect M300 do you understand why companies publish their Core Values?
I am sure this will be linked to the fact that the DHSC still owe ABDX monies for ABC 19 as per the RNS date 27th April (see extract below)
As previously noted, the Company's supply contract with the DHSC expired on 14 February 2021. The Company has still not been able to establish from the DHSC when the outstanding debts in relation to this contract will be paid, as well as other monies owed in relation to the procurement of components on the DHSC's behalf by Abingdon. As at 27 April 2021, Abingdon has outstanding invoices with the DHSC totalling £6.7m (including VAT) with monies being overdue by between 79 and 135 days. This includes £5.15m (including VAT) for the 1 million AbC-19™ rapid tests which were delivered by early January 2021 and are currently being used by the DHSC within the UK Biobank study. So far as the Board is aware there is no contractual basis for the DHSC to withhold payment on products they have accepted and are using. As such, the Board continues to seek resolution to this matter. If the outstanding and overdue sums are not paid in the short-term, then Abingdon may need to reduce its cost base. As at 26 April 2021 the Company's cash balance was £7.7m.
Ive just gone onto the Reed site and confirm it is permanent. What i did find interesting on the Job advert was the Companies Values:
Our Core Values
Customer Focus: customer satisfaction is not a department, everyone is responsible; listening to customers drives improvement
Accountability: ask "what more can I do?"; takes ownership
Collaboration: actively support your colleagues; be clear in communication; celebrate success and have fun together
Respect: treat others as we would wish to be treated; respect the environment we work and live in
Honesty: aspire to be open and transparent; take pride in building trust between ourselves and others
I will be adding to my questions for the 13th primarily around the "Honesty" value as Colin has a lot of work to do to rebuild trust with us PI LTh's.
Interestingly Question time made mention of daily testing for children rather than isolation. It is great to hear the momentum is picking up for that potential increased use of LFT's
