Beast - because of Starmer we will be paying for this for decades to come, it’s just a mess the whole situation.

The uk and Europeans will drag this out now, we have now gone almost full circle and it appears we are not as far forward than we were led to believe since trump took office.

A lot of work is to be done to restore confidence, trust and get all parties talking again.

Calm minds are needed and maybe a pause for a couple of weeks to let all parties re group and go again is what’s needed.

Things were clearly happening too fast and mistakes started to be made with-everything arranged in haste and this was due to US wanting the minerals deal done quickly.

It looks like 3 steps forward and 2 steps back.

I doubt Vance and trump would have spoken to xi or putin that way, this was bullying and intimidation and if you don’t get your own way then kick Zelensky out of the White House.

Things can change very quickly but for that to happen before Monday, Zelensky will need to have made peace with DT and signed minerals deal and be in Washington and we know that isn’t going to happen.

The doom merchants will be out in force next week, could be messy, but it now depends on if the Europeans can put together a lasting security guarantee and Russia agree to it, unlikely also.

This will take time to iron out, easiest solution to end the war would be for Zelensky to drop any demands and cave in but that also looks unlikely.

The whole sorry saga has just become more complicated imo, I should have taken some of the table oh well.

No body came out looking good yesterday, one thing it did show was the unpredictability of the US administration and wether going forward you can align with them and they will honour it, yesterday was a reminder of their impulsive nature and the precedence it sets.

Those watching on will be thinking wow, do we trust the Americans and fear one day they could turn on us or do we not align with them and they turn on us, what a position to be in for the rest of the world.

Zelensky is obviously patriotic and that is commendable but in these circumstances maybe someone else should lead Ukrainian negotiations?

STB - I expect the true fallout from yesterday will be realised in the next 48 hrs, I do think the next 48 hrs are crucial to determine where this is heading. Will both sides calm down, reign it in and put muzzles on bit bulls like JD and let things settle and go again, or does the split become something more dangerous in regards achieving peace.

Well after yesterdays debacle this will now drag on and on and the share price of EUA will be hammered accordingly, we are getting further and further away from a resolution after that s h t show.

Maybe removing Z will be the only way forward as trump does not want to deal with Zelensky but to get a new elected leader will be logistically impossible during the war.

Peace will come but at what cost now and when.

Vance has a pop at Zelensky for going to pensilvanyia to campaign for Biden, and for not saying thanks, yet gives Starmer a pass even when he said he was anti trump in the past.

This is not about EUA but the double standards on offer with a deliberate staging of a event to embarrass Zelensky without doubt.

Just seen the full meeting and I am absolutely disgusted with that show by the Americans, that was threatening, bullying and intimidation of the highest order that I have not seen before in politics.

No excuses for treating some one like that at all, very shameful.

As much as I want the war to end the actions of trump and Vance right now is of intimidation and threats, this is no way to get a result.
