The stock market has been a casino of late, over-reactions, sectors simply unliked etc and Babcock has suffered from the fact that companies in the same support area have been less well run and thus less successful - to me, they seem unspectacular but refreshingly solid and, slowly probably, they'll be a £10+ share again, within hopefully a couple of years?

As, obviously, a bit of a mug punter who bought heavily into DC. & now holding a £60thou loss on the information published by 8 brokers 'strong buys' and still in the last 6 weeks up to £4.30 and more, I'm wondering what if anything these statements are based on? Presumably more than a lunch with a Board member, are they completely useless for research? I'll be out of the market for a few years now I should think but as and when I doubt I'll be reading these recommendations further.
