Thanks for the explaination lse99, I have to admit I bought yesterday partly on the strength of the trades, plus I thought 129 not a terrible price. No big deal, just slightly annoying.

Well done FTSE12, and thanks for the advice...very interesting. A bit of a shame SP dragged down late in the day after a great start, but I suppose the price never goes up in a straight line!

RE: Fatherelmer: Don't worry...I'm in exactly the same boat, bought some recently for 140 and 184. (although originally got some at about 88, eternal thanks to Rocka999) You've got to be a quick trader ...or a slow long term investor.
There is good investor sentiment with VRS and I can see strong support for their vision. There will be more waves as they head up to 2.

One day I'll learn the trick to buying shares!...have the cash ready to buy bargains after some phoney "market shake up" based on BS journalism that spreads across the globe and causes instant panic. It happens at least once or twice a year. This year it was February and late September. 5.50 for IAG 2 weeks ago was ridiculous.
They are a well run company, despite the hiccups.

Working their way back up as with a lot of others that were completely oversold over past few weeks.

I don't know what analysts do for their money...(except de-ramp shares for their own benefit). My opinion as someone who has bought and sold these for over 10 years, I think around 6 is a good price. They won't make you rich but over time you'll make a reasonable return.

Enough with the COSTCO bs/ramping please. It's got nothing to do with Ocado.
If it's anything like the supermarkets I've seen in the USA, they will need all the help they can get. They are about 50 years behind Europe. Aisles and aisles of canned hotdogs, analogue cheese and various GM food products with health warnings on them.

Anyone comparing Ocado to shopping at Costco doesn't show a great deal of understanding. How many times do people have to explain the valuation. Derrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

I love all the clever clogs EXPERTS that come out of the woodwork to tell everyone else they KNEW this was going to happen.
"IF" they are so clever all they need to do is buy some, or clear off to somewhere else.
Obviously not great at the moment, but not the end of the world either. They were 60p well BEFORE a lot of the new developments came out, so hang tight for now. There hasn't actually been any bad news!

Don't know how the price got driven down so low, with no news. Just dragged down by other failing retailers that are in no way related to G4M business model. Definitely a bargain at this price.
Unfortunately I bought at 716 and watched them slide very quickly before my eyes, will have to stick to the 7% rule in future!
I had been pretty confident in them for the past 6 months or so. I was expecting £8 at least. They always tended to jump in big stages.

Thanks for the positive info today. I think this surprising short term drop is not taking into account that Ocado have already said they will be profitable later this year and next year, so everything is on track for that. They are still the leader in automated robotic warehouses for supermarkets.
