Dominic Walsh. Market Report
Saturday 13th February.
Bid rumours also continue to surround Centamin, the Egypt focused gold miner, after it’s rebuttal of a£1.5 billion proposal from Endeavour Mining of Canada, just before the pandemic. Rivals including Barrick Gold have been tipped as potential suitors, although Centamins stock was flat at 109 3/4 last night.
As it appears in Saturday Times.
Hi Sasha. Back in the early 2000’s we were in CEY . In those days it was still in AIM and was being run by Joseph. We all did very well as the mine was bought on stream. It is the only 10 bagger I have ever had. Come the Arab spring you advised that it might be time to get out which I did.
I did get back in last winter which turns out to have been a good idea.
You did suggest all those years ago having a look at this Company that had a chance of being granted a licence in the far East of Russia on an inaccessible bit of land with Nickel prospects.
So here we are 12/13 years on. You have hinted and many have thought next year, next year for many years. And maybe at last this might be the year. Good luck all long term holders.
Back from another smoke and mirrors performance from RY. Haven’t attended for two or three years. The bloke is in my opinion lost, doesn’t know what to do next. Admits that the company is not capable to take it forward to production in five years time. Would like some one to take us out. The problem is that all the grants, loans and funding from Russia, will only come with a working plan. The take out companies will wait for all the grants, loans and funding to be in place.
Chicken and Egg but the AMC egg has a very thin shell.
I think Bowen’s who was praised and mentioned more than once may be the man to broker a deal.
Just my personal view. I see AMC in a weak negotiating position, with little funding, a hill along way from anywhere worth?
Ben Marlow in the Business section. “ A chance to strike gold”
An improved offer should win shareholder’s over. Given Centamin’s patchy track record this may be their best chance to strike gold.
But how much? £1.60/£1.70 is about the best I think.
Sasa. Like many I farted about yesterday morning on the other side. Could not make much progress so here I am waiting for the good time which Im sure will come. The thing I find strange is that we are the customer or client which they have completely ignored. I am not going to waste time trying to learn understand and remember their new system.
I like many I have been in this for six or seven years. Break even is three pounds . If we ever get close I will be gone. Always jam tomorrow even though we have been making vast profits for six months or more!?!?!?!?
