George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
My choice is... We are sailing, by Rod Stewart. I feel it in my water, we are going to have another positive upward day, no reason not to, the end is nearing, most of the supplies are on board, the seas are calming, all we need from Capt Tilly is the shout, "Land ahoy"! The rums and Hornpipe dancing will really start, Septic Lil will get her bestest mini-dress, and 6 inch heels on, slap a bit of rouge on her cheeks, and boogie the night away, till the last man's standing! GLA
Someone else made a comment on factoring. Does the lender in factoring, care about what is being factored? No, its about the assurance they will get a return on their lend. I can't really see a difference on inventory, asset, or capital eqpt, if they are all for sale. Syme's roll is to facilitate the lender and the seller. I can't see why Syme would limit themselves to a niche, when they could have so much more, and add so much more value. Maybe its my Salesman head, visioning too much, but that potential excites me, especially with a platform that is accessible globally. Time will tell. GLA.
Wolfy, they finance from the bank to buy the new ones, as usual, but go to Syme with the inventory of the 2nd hand ones taken down, still worth an awful lot of money, but it might take time to sell, the pension fund could generate cash using the platform. Remember they have a steady income being generated(if you pardon the pun). Similarly, aviation, if Easyjet want to upgrade their fleet, they finance new planes, but their old ones are still a very valuable piece of inventory! Do you think Syme would not wish to facilitate their 2nd hand planes for sale? Massive markets they would be missing out on by not engaging. Interested to hear your thoughts! Or is the platform usage going to be so restrictive?
Wolfy.. Sorry, I don't think I have made myself clear.
Example. Joe bloggs pension fund owns a large windfarm contracted for 20yrs plus. Value at 10yrs of the assets is £30m, they wish to replace them with new. They buy new, which they must do, but can use Syme for the assets or inventory which are being replaced. I hope that makes sense, then they have freed up cash.
Wolfy.. Yes the plant. It was the attraction of financial facilitation for manufacturing, that drew me to Syme. The strong economies in the world are the manufacturing ones.
To answer your question, most big wind farm projects are made to order, but many owned by pension funds, are off loaded at 10yr lifespan, because maintenance costs start to rise, or they are upgraded. The 2nd hand ones are sold to individuals, all over the world, here in the UK, we have thousands of 2nd hand Scandinavian kit everywhere. All financed, for many this was difficult to achieve. The Chilean govt are looking to invest in thousands of turbines, to support their very bad grid. They haven't the money to put into infrastructure, and see wind turbines as an alternative. Several UK companies are involved in this massive deal. Syme could certainly be a player in this type of project. Battery storage facilities is another. Massive investment needed in Capital eqpt, before a return on investment. GLA
All IMO
A good sized windfarm, costs upwards of £25million, with some in the hundreds of millions, and that's just in the UK, their lifetime is limited, before needing replacement, they are all financed. Scotland leads the UK on a path to 100% renewable, using storage. The eqpt manufacturers sell the eqpt, but the owner/buyers finance it, just like aviation(probably a Syme customer soon). Look at the bif picture, not just your Beano!
Little E, with the obvious little brain! ARE YOU REGISTERED BLIND??
You can't drive 10miles anywhere without seeing a great big electro- mechanical monstrosity, called a wind turbine, any where. Do you think they are manufactured on the moon, do you have any idea what they cost, do you know how often they break down, and I'll not even get into solar. Dyor
A couple of days ago, I shared my opinion on the possible future of this share by Easter, and in osing added a comment that this share could one day reach the heights of £2. Some saw this as pure fantasy! I did not put a timescale on it, but merely recognised the global potential! Technology is big money guys! How many wish they had got into Amazon, Facebook, back in the early days, or even Tick Toc more recently? Truth is nobody really knows, could Syme be the saviour for many businesses? DYOR, not just on Syme, but on Global Manufacturing. I'm in renewable energy, and I can see my industry taking use of it, and it's a massively growing industry globally. GLA
Dickie... I agree. AZ must be chomping at the bit, to post an update RNS, especially after all the "fake news" nonsense. He is obviously waiting until written confirmations are collated.
Samm.. I'm in EUA, still waiting patiently for the Sale to happen, buying low price shares, is all about three things. 1. Buying at the right time. 2 Holding them until the right time. 3. Selling them at the right time. A One word synopsis.. Timing!!
Not a lover of stop losses myself, as the unscrupulous mm's, love sometimes to play the volatility game, to fill orders. But each to their own. Its like chess, know your opponent, work out your strategy, and wait for your opportunity. GLA
Manufacturing companies, globally, will opportune of Syme. In an ever changing fast moving tech world, Companies dependency on cash flow absorbing R&D, is imperative. Using their inventory, order books, stature in the market place, they can continue to evolve & grow, concentrating on what they do and know best, leaving the financial to a service provider.
Firstly, I am a LTH.
But I tend to agree with Wolfy... maybe it's the salesman in me, but until you have the order in writing, it's only "potential, or prospective". As a venture business, it's those all important signed up first deals, that indicate to the shareholder the true worth and potential. AZ believes in the potential, (personally so do I), but many have been in the same situation, and crashed and burned. So it is now a waiting game! When the Rns's start rolling in of a contractual nature, and up takes, watch the SP take off. Dyor, read documents over and over, discuss, listen, observe, and yes, sometimes just follow your gut instinct!
The skill is having the right investment at the right time. All in MHO.... GLA
PS.. Could this one day be a £2share? Yes
I have just over 2m shares in Syme @0.4average. A punt I took from top slicing from elsewhere. I wiil top up more when I can free-up other monies from other investments. ( I don't like taking out when in a negative, so have to wait), very much a low risk punt for me. I believe in the model, but as an M. D. of a company, and a Salesman for 35yrs+, it is always actuals that matters! That's why I said, where would it be by Easter? Proven, and implimented, we should be 2p or above, and on a steady upward trajectory. Imo
I would love to hear from those who have been following Syme for quite some time, Where they think the SP will realistically be by Easter next year? I have my thoughts, but will reserve that until later.
We have so much to look forward to in 2021...
Lists of users on all continents.
Multiple revenue streams
Cash flow
To name just a few, all confidence boosters.
Admitidly, futuristic valuation of a Service type company is difficult imo, but as Covid ends and business start to rebuild the massive setbacks they have had, for many Syme will become an essential. GLA Hold long and strong.
