RE: MSC Leandra Neighbourhood Watch Update28 May 2025 04:51
Hi there, ref the ship slowing down. As an ex seafarer for 45 years it's not uncommon for a ship to Have to slow down occasionally if there is something wrong within the engine room, could be a leak of fuel, oil ,water. I worked on military ships and it was always go fast when you can get ahead of your time frame and then slow down to arrive at you destination on time never the other way around as we had to be at a waypoint in the middle of nowhere at the time set by whomever we had to meet up with. Ref being off course that is strange as all ships as do airplane travel by waypoints when they arrive at a set waypoint that is when they need to change course and also be there at a set time to see if they are on time. This info me giving me view on her travels and some seafarers knowledge.
