Tern acquired Cryptosoft on Sep 15, 2014. Cryptosoft then acquired Device Authority and decided to operate under the name Device Authority on April 21, 2016. It was Cryptosoft who acquired Device Authority, not Tern. So, I believe Tern's acquisition of the company now operating under the name "Device Authority" was on Sep 15, 2014. Hence, the 6 years according to the Capital Gains Tax rule have already passed.

You're wrong though... :(
For anyone new to this board, G.Rees only posts negativity about Tern. Check his profile to see that he spends all his time criticising Tern and cussing at others. You might wonder: "Why? Who is so pathetic?" to which I answer: I don't know either...
DA does not release revenue figures so all we can do is try to calculate them ourselves. Tern's NAV does not get updated with the revenue figures of investees as these are not publicly released. What many do not realise, is that DA is a gold mine!
It's hard to obtain KeyScaler prices on Azure... But it seems like DA is charging $0.2 an hour per device on Azure.. and Darron was talking about some clients with 100.000s of devices during the last CMD. 100.000 devices make $14.6m per month just from one client!!! Of course, some clients might get discounts… still mind-blowing!
But since Microsoft's last webinar.. we now know that we are not just talking about 100.000 devices. We are talking about MILLIONS or even BILLIONS. Really cannot grasp how large DA currently is and how much bigger it will become!
I am very confident that DA will be sold for an eye-watering amount of money. Those holding Tern shares at that time will earn themselves a nice sum of money. Not only will the share price rise significantly, but we will probably also see a nice dividend payout and possible share buybacks. Good luck everyone, our time has come. A little more patience is required... We are almost there!!!
4 webinars hosted by Microsoft… Microsoft spending a lot of time on little DA
DA spending 65% of their time on Microsoft
Not just a partnership anymore. They spend more time together than most people in relationships…
For DA…

From ADVFN:
Richard Kerslake at Intel re FIDO
"Today, the onboarding process for IoT devices is usually done manually by a technician – a process that is slow, expensive, and insecure. Industry sources have said that it is not uncommon for the cost of installation and setup to exceed the cost of the device itself. Although multiple companies have worked to automate the onboarding process, there wasn’t a widely accepted industry standard. Also, many proprietary solutions that do exist require that the end customer be known at the time of the device manufacture so that the device can be pre-configured. This creates friction and cost in the supply chain.
The FIDO Alliance stepped up in the summer of 2019 to address this industry challenge. With its broad membership of leading cloud service providers, semiconductor companies and security companies, the Alliance is well positioned to bring together those that create and supply the technologies in the IoT ecosystem. The FIDO Alliance formed its IoT Technical Working Group (IoT TWG) with these stakeholders to define a new standard for automated, secure IoT onboarding. Less than 2 years after the working group formed, the FIDO Alliance released to the industry the FIDO Device Onboarding (FDO) specification.
Join this session to understand:
- What FDO is
- Why it has been developed
- Who are the ecosystem vendors and key implementers
- How Device Authority has implemented FDO in our KeyScaler platform"
I am simply telling you not to call people names. You are flooding this forum with negativity (as the trolls are), though be it your intentions are true. Instead of giving trolls attention, ignore them and spread some positive news on here. I am sure it will be much better for your mental health as well.
Let me be real with you. The board really does not need your little posts on LSE to maintain integrity. They care little about what you have to say. I am confident that Al Sisto will deliver soon. Your angry little posts calling people names have no effect on that whatsoever.
FYI I am not a trader, I am fully invested
From Tim (PR of Tern):
The Companies House accounts for Device Authority Limited are unconsolidated abbreviated accounts. They do not include DA inc and without seeing the consolidation and any non-cash p&l entries they are frankly pretty meaningless from an analysis point of view in my personal opinion. I am sorry but it is not appropriate to disclose more.
DA seems to be a new member of the Industry IoT Consortium (IIC)
DA is mentioned on this website (updated 15 hours ago), but not yet on IIC's main website.

The list of tech giants in that list is impressive. DA really getting involved
There have been plenty of rumours surrounding TERN. Supposedly, Device Authority (DA) was being sold to Microsoft. Last time such a rumour arose, the share price bagged within a few trading days. However, there was no substance to these claims... Until last Friday
This tweet went live last Friday saying “Will Microsoft be the ultimate purchasers of DA?“
https://twitter.com/iotboom/status/1438772603804598272?s=21
Who liked the tweet..? CEO of Device Authority, Darron Antill
Something I found very interesting. On Friday This tweet went live:
https://twitter.com/iotboom/status/1438772603804598272?s=21
It was liked by Darron Antill who, to my knowledge has not liked a tweet before like this one. This tweet suggests that Microsoft will buy out Device authority, why else would Darron like it? Perhaps he is dropping a hint that the buyout is close. This to me indicates that, microsoft are infact buying device authority, and darron liking this tweet has confirmed this. Would like to hear any thoughts on this as personally I believe this may be a huge hint that has not yet been picked up on/ mentioned.
To add, Darron usually does not like tweets either which makes this even more intriguing IMO.

DA does not reveal numbers for several reasons.
Firstly, DA is a private company and does not need to disclose any numbers with anyone. In fact, in such a highly competitive field it is often best to keep those numbers to yourself, if possible. DA being a private company is actually a huge advantage for us.
Secondly, if Tern would disclose any numbers of DA themselves, no other private company would want to go aboard with Tern. Many companies want to keep their figures private, due to competitive reasons.
There are many more reasons one could come up with. Sarah Payne explains this very well during the presentation on the 14th ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FI33XBvnRfQ ). The question arises at 1:13:00
