At the end of the day 1sttimelucky, I can understand it if one is lower or middle class wanting to pay less stamp duty but £350k is like pin money to the rich elite. However, they don't like paying taxes full stop and most will do anything they can to avoid paying it.

We have pledged to Jordan £650m over 5 years and the King has been spending millions on properties around the world whilst most his people worry about where their next meal is coming from. A lot of our people are having to visit a food bank or are not been able to put the heating on just so that they can feed the family.

The dogooders moan that we have cut the foreign aid budget but we all know that most of it is embezelld by the leaders of the countries that we give it to. This is unfortunate but a disgrace because I for one wouldn't mind one bit if all of it went to the poor people of these countries. Saying that, shouldn't charity begin at home first? We even give money to countries that are sending rockets up into space. China - we give them millions in aid and they are better off than us (even more so from the Billions they have made through Covid)

Could never bring myself to vote for any of the above because they are all the same but wave a different banner. That is the only difference. Same kind of people.
I cringe when I see them bickering like little kids in the House of Parliament.
I crave for the time when one party says to the other party in debate "do you know what? We think that is a really good idea and we are going to vote for it". The SNP have never agreed on anything by the opposition in the H.O.P. What is the point of the Houses of Parliament?

Answer = NO. So there is no point going on about it to be honest.
When this dies down it will be back to normal. The Status Quo will be up and running.
