Hopefully once the next bid comes in for Morrison's we might get a bit more attention!
Agreed, I've sold £30k across six tranches today and it's not negatively impacted on the sp at all.
My has literally just arrived! Very welcome as it has helped push my portfolio to an ATH.
So far so good for your prediction, hovering just below 25p.
My h/l account is showing that SMT is ex-div today.
I'm relatively new to the Trust, how does this work in practice? I assume the dividend is automatically re-invested into the trust with no distribution being made directly to me?
Unexpected nasty drop after a strong-ish opening. Keeping a close watch for potential buying opportunity.
Is that PE firm known for bolt on transactions? If so, I expect a significant rise next week.
You can't ask much more than a phone call from a top-executive to discuss your concerns. That's tremendous IR. Well done Mitch!
Ex-dividend is soon, but will that be enough to shore up the share price in the 130+ region? I was surprised to see the drop on Friday especially after the strong open, but I guess at these levels a few people will have taken the opportunity to take profits. The thought crossed my mind as I am still overweight on this in my ISA - but with so much good news due in the next 6-12 months it is a tough one to sell right now.
There are tax benefits also - as a higher rate payer I'd much rather have capital growth than having to pay dividend tax.
Well Friday was an excellent end to the week, so hopefully we can take that sentiment into next week. That said there are some negative views on coal coming from the G7 - I've not had time to read the fine detail yet, however it perhaps adds extra urgency to the boards decision to explore the de-merger of the coal generating operation.
Never mind pushing through 120p, 130p has just been smashed through too!
Lovely to get a positive RNS and a boost to the share price. Feeling more positive today!
A lot of people have probably bailed after ex-dividend date last week. And yes there is a sentiment change from China.
The market had reacted well to the information on Morrison’s results. Hopefully we hear something good from our board soon to keep up the positive momentum.
Anything around these prices is a no-brainer in the medium term IMO. Sadly I've just bought an investment property so have no spare capital right now. Otherwise I would be aggressively topping up.
Was hoping after the good day on wall street last friday we would bounce back. But the reverse has happened. I assume pressure on some of our big tech stocks is causing the fall?
Gas futures seem to have no impact at all on this share.
When I bought in at 327p in January 21 I was worried that I was buying at the top.
Who could have predicted this recent run?
Congrats to you LTH's who I am sure have averages sometimes in the double digits!
...just more record highs, whilst the rest of this website likes to talk over hundreds of posts about no-hopers like SYME!
