In theory the dividend may be written into the price of the stock and the stock price may fall by the amount of the dividend once it goes "ex". As for the small buys and sells there can be a multitude of reasons , brokers and market makers balancing books or small holders getting rid of small pointless holdings or rounding off holdings to who knows. There is a lot of volume and most of it reported out of hours, big trades either the MM's are trying to flush out the short termists by bumping the price or these are big buyers forcing up the price due to shortage of stock - its not the most liquid of stock at best of times. Big buys at cheap price...something is occurring.

If HSV keeps its profits as they were and the US side keeps on expanding , they now have coverage in 42 of the 50 states surely some big buyers are going to step in for the yield alone. This has got to move north soon irrespective of the FSA being involved. Ofcom may have sent a message with the recent fine to all of the other nuisance callers and FSA may add a little to this but I cant see how this will permanently damage their UK operations and will make them focus hard for the other institutional investors - Invesco for one will want a big improvement...

Rockhard pleased you have a similar sentiment with HSV. This has been a bit of a stock market darling and I think this hiccup will be something which makes this a stronger share.

Who at PG set a taget price of 190p? I seriously doubt they have researched this, the market has clearly taken into account a massive over reaction on the "scandal" news and is now starting to correct it. Pretty sure HSV management will be aiming to correct this too as they will get pressure from the market and institutions. Surely these are one to hold on to. Esp as the recession offers cheap deals overseas and everyone looks for new income streams whic HSVs proven business model does. Cant think HSV will allow this cluste*&rfck to happen again.

Surely the story here is in the overseas growth - the mis-selling "scandal" as the media like to call it is a storm in a tea cup which is being addressed by a change in practises. Invesco dont seem too fussed by it who keep topping up with this stock the keep crossing percentage points. I'm no expert but when experts do have over 20% stake it makes me think they know somethiung I do not. Increased revenue profits and dividend in a market like this surely would keep price stable. I think this is artificially being depressed to flush out sellers and attract bargain hunting investors. I'm keeping mine now I've topped up too

Gotta come back why would Invesco increase its holding over two percentage points in the last week or so? Crossed from under 17% to over 19%. Either they are averaging down and know its worth it or taking a chance to pick up a bargain.

I think I may have to pick a few of these up on Monday - looks very interesting product they have without the need to get to nvolved in the actual manufacturing process, just sell a licence to produce an environmentally sound product which seems to have great potential.

There is something in the offing here, needless to say I am now very p****d off that I sold out, barely made enough to buy an Aga and now they are flying. I reckon there must be a bid in here somewhere but not enough of a significant stake having been built up yet to make an announcement. Who the hell would buy into a cast iron cooker manufacturer? I suppose it is a lifestyle choice but not for me.

ST ran an article today about Aga being anything but a green purchase, wonder if this will make a difference.
