I appreciate that ITM/CWR are not having the best day either but a 5% drop on such a small volume, with more "buys" than "sells" seems pretty ridiculous even by AIM standards. I would have thought that the intrigue about the MSP battery, as well as the potential for an AGM statement or answers to questions, not to mention all the other potential avenues for news, would have been enough to keep up the buying interest but seemingly not. It can be a very strange world at times.
It didn't take long to descend into the usual spat now that the markets are open. This is most certainly not helpful to current or potential new investors but then, of course, this may well be the intention of quite a few of the people posting.
Putting all the noise to one side, it will be interesting to see how AFC approaches this issue and I still think that they should provide some clarity as, through no fault of their own, information has been released to the market that could be considered price sensitive. Definitely a question for the AGM if they decide not to address this by then.
The fact that the Altaaqa photos still show their sticker when the slightly different ones used by AFC don't continues to be very intriguing.

I also note that they have kept the first line "Yesterday we proudly waved off our latest unit to begin the first leg of what will be another long journey" which adds further evidence that AFC is just the first step before going a lot further afield (aka Saudi).
Add in the strange Altaaqa sticker photo/article debacle that was removed and the mind starts to wander. By the way, does anyone know when the story was reposted on their website and what has been changed as it still says 1st April, even though it wasn't there for at least a few days after it was removed on 1st April, and it was updated 3 hours ago on their website? All very interesting... https://www.altaaqa.com/post/altaaqa-and-afc-energy
It looks like someone from AFC has been in touch with them, as it now also says "Correction, This unit is heading to AFC energy, It is not heading abroad as incorrectly stated in comments below."
This statement is not inconsistent with it then going overseas from AFC, including to Saudi, and I find it very hard to believe that MSP could have muddled up the final destination. Time will tell but I still feel that AFC should offer some clarity asap to avoid confusion.
Sorry, I was replying to B2, not BB2!
BB2, I agree that it logically has nothing to do with Extreme E, hence the need to release an RNS or at least an official statement about the new deployment.
If this is Altaaqa, which looks likely, then this strongly suggests that the companies are already moving past the initial discussions and at the very least are entering a trial phase which would bs very significant and, once again, be worthy of an RNS or official statement. Interesting times!
The battery will be of no use in Saudi without the AFC fuel cell so this must mean that AFC are sending a fuel cell out soon, especially as MSP expressly states "This Flex-ESS will be supporting one of AFC Energy plc's most recent Hydrogen Fuel Cell deployments".
I really do not see how AFC can dodge this tomorrow, let alone at the AGM, as this would be the fist unit since the inaugural one for Extreme E!
BB2, you seem to be forgetting that 19th December was before IT started his role which saw a marked change in approach to LinkedIn and many other areas of communication.
Having said that, I can still recall the buzz/relief that MSP's post created and look what happened to the SP soon after!
B2, good effort. I think it is incredibly unlikely that it has been missed but it is now so public that they will need to comment on soon, I would have thought. Perhaps a last minute question for the AGM before the Monday deadline?
It is interesting that nobody from AFC has liked this post, which is unusual given that IT is very active on LinkedIn, with AB also almost always liking AFC-related posts.
To me, this suggests that the company doesn't want to officially acknowledge that the cat is out of the bag with this new deployment yet and my money is on Acciona, with this hopefully being confirmed before the AGM.
Well, the good news is that the drop allowed me to squeeze a few more of my non-ISA shares into my ISA for this year. Here is to hoping that there is plenty of tax to save at some point in the not too distant future. Looking at the trades today, it appears that quite a few other people did the same.
Apart from that, a day to forget!
Duke, anyone can register and I hope it helps get AFC on a more even footing with its many peers with much larger MCaps.
Given AFC's history in Korea, it is interesting to see that the Korea office of the Department decided to retweet their tweet in Korean a few hours ago. Surely, there must be some logic to this...

It is tremendous to see the ITM CEO, Graham Cooley, tweeting about the AFC Extreme E fuel cell. It really is starting to look like AFC is no longer the ugly duckling in the sector and I look forward to the market rerating the share price accordingly.

AFC is providing the #hydrogen #fuelcells that will power the mobile generators to fuel the cars."
Aim, you have just proved yourself to be passive aggressive at best.
Aim, we will just have to wait and see but I suspect that, if there is a flood of buys, you will try to to rewrite history.
I am putting it out there that there will be a lot of buying on Tuesday and probably all week but, if I am wrong, I will fully admit it and, more importantly, see the effect on my shareholding.
By the way, apologies to everyone for the multiple messages this evening. Those who were watching carefully might have noticed that I stopped posting for a while, because I was fed up with the negativity and the (coincidental?) drop in share price, but now it looks like sentiment and the share price are in a totally different place! GLAGLTH
GST, that's a done deal. If we get past £1/£2/£4 we will need to start compiling lists!
I always try to avoid getting too optimistic over the weekend, as this tends to lead to disappoint, and this is even more important over a 4-day weekend, but I can sense that Tuesday is going to be an absolute bunfight.
