Hi jtd, I appreciate your candid input.
My experience of setting a limit buy or sell at Interactive Investor has been good. I don't seem to have missed either low price of high price transients in trading days. Only the other day my 400p limit buy in PFC was executed at 391p. And a couple of months ago my limit sell order on HSBA was executed at almost the trading day high which was quite a bit above my limit sell price. So, in a transient upwards market in AMER, I believe I am likely to achieve more than my 24p. But if I don't, I walk away happy.
Others mileage with other brokers, of course, may vary. But that's my experience with II recently.
Thanks for the candid response, jtd. No, I am not joking, I have an auto sell order set at 24p. I would bow out gracefully. This has been a dog of a share, the management are serial under achievers. Good luck if you get upwards of 30p. 24p and I'm out!
For my 24p auto sell price to be triggered.
Seriously doubt INEOS will buy. They prefer to buy distressed assets at around 40p in the £ value. Be interesting to see who steps up to the plate here.
Well, what can I say? Presently, I am keeping an eye on one of my employer's FPSO's in real time as they restart after a trip. So, it's only reasonable I should be able to do the same at the Aoka Mizu. After all, as a HUR shareholder, some of that oil is mine. It's only fair, I think.
HUR share price is surely entering stupidly cheap territory. I already have too much of this but if we go sub 40p again, I likely won't be able to stop myself clicking the buy button again. The share price performance seems barmy to me.
Ah, apologies. Blissfully unaware of the information regarding the environment statement. Thanks a lot for the heads up.
No chance of future work for me in gas reinjection then! LOL
I'm all ears. Why not gas reinjection then? We do it all over the world. Thanks.
I should add, gas export or flaring are not the only options. We can reinject the gas back to the field in the medium term anyway.
Great thinking. I never liked the Spirit farm in anyway. But if HUR can really push ahead with Lancaster on their own without further cash calls, that would be a terrific shot in the arm. Dr T insists the early signs from Lancaster wells are that they are world class producers. How amazing if we could monetise the Lancaster field. Maybe even put another FPSO out there!
Thanks again for the thoughts, I hope you're right. My opinion is coloured by AMER being a perennial under achiever when it comes to share price. Ophir? Yeah, I think the shareholders were robbed, but that's AIM for you. Cheers.
Thanks for the thoughts all, 24p limit sell order set. Let's see what happens next.
It's telling (to me anyway) that the market sees almost zero premium value above the low ball 17p offer price. I think nobody sees a queue of bidders forming here. I will place a cheeky 24p limit sell order here. But truth is, I'd be delighted to get out for anything north of 19p. It's a perennial disappointment this one.
It's confirmed? HUR has off loaded another cargo to BP? I think this could be very good news if the wells are as prolific as Dr T tells us.
Very happy to see this latest development. I bought in at 19p when it looked cheap even then. It has been a favourite of Malcy's for a while now telling people AMER is cheap as chips. Must admit, I had virtually lost faith in the stock myself. I'm still weighting it up, but maybe if I see >24p this week, I'm tempted to sell out and forget about AMER.
Words fail me, honestly.
To repair the damage this company has suffered this year so far. I'm hopeful Lucan can turn it round for us.
I have thought for some time now that neither UKOG nor ANGS have the critical mass to move significantly ahead on their own. Surely a merger now would make an awful lot of sense? To me it does anyhow.
I sincerely hope CA has sold out of HUR.
Noting the Woodford connection to CA, I see CA share price has taken a noticeable hit the last year or so. Could be worth a few quid? Might as well join in with Mr Bernstein and have him earn a few Bob for me?
