I think we all know that the only side Trump is on is Trumps. He couldn't care less about either Ukraine or Russia and sees Europe as rivals and a hindrance to his supporters / USA companies doing business on their terms. His only interest in Greenland is mineral wealth and he is quite prepared to sacrifice Europe and Nato to get his hands on them.

Methinks Trump will be looking for Greenland in return for continued support of Ukraine. I believe European leaders realise this hence other than Denmark a very muted response.
