Yes Bill - there are many parts to the overall MSCI, and like I said earlier GGO and EUA were in the emerging markets one,

BR and lots of other funds have their own funds portfolios covering these sectors like BlackRock world Mining, Van ECK emerging markets etc...

And yes the ETFs would be another token whether in or out of the MSCI (not EUA related)

Id you go to MSCi .com then sitemap , then it shows the depth of coverage MSCI actually do.

And BR along with Vanguard are generally the largest funds within , but always in each sector.

Anyways a bit of a side show now as EUA are no longer in any.

However MSCI is a bunch of funds and you can find the full details of what they do and who they are on the MSCI website you can find the main data at MSCI . COM

There are lots of parts to MSCI, and when it came to GGP and EUA they joined part of the MSCI emerging markets fund, again based on MCAP, and the when the MCAP drops these funds may also decide to sell out.

It's pretty clear for anyone to see that there was in the later part deemed sanction risk which led some to also leaver sell fully. Each Bank or Fund make their own choice...

MSCI is not owned by BlackRock. BlackRock just happen to be one of the largest funds globally.

The MCAP needs to be a certain size before the buy in - and it is reviewed - that's what MSCI does -

No it's not they bought into both due to MCAP that is how MSCI works, same with selling .

You should also known that the funds sold out at a certain MCAP MSCI related....
