Yes bonkers SP. Under the radar or out of favour for whatever reason. Has to be a buy now though with a clear steer from the minister that we'll see the win-win MDA within 10 days. And realistically funding can't be far behind. Songwe alone can contribute 2% of Malawi's GDP. It's mind blowing.

It might be that all issues are now resolved and the MDA is in agreed form. The royalties and foreign/domestic bank a/cs and forex issues being the last to fall into place late last week, with no requirement for legislative changes. And that it's only now awaiting sign off by independent international lawyers acting for Malawi. Full a.r.se covering job by Malawi. Completion within 2 weeks. Fingers crossed. I agree at the very least it's positive whatever, and generally we should be happy to wait for a deal that sticks, rather than go for one now that falls apart before the ink's dry.

I interpret the Nyasa Times article as saying the MDA is agreed and will complete this month. I guess MKA have paid the fees of law firms DWF and Trinity to give independent legal advice to Malawi that the content is fair and reasonable.
Looks like full steam ahead to me.

Assessing the carbon footprint and environmental impact of wind power is tricky. You do have to factor in building and raw materials mining (including the damage from rare earth metals mining in China etc). You also have to include the cost of keeping gas turbines on standby 24/7 and indeed their carbon/environmental impact when in use, because you can't effectively store wind energy and it doesn't always blow. Every winter (like in late Nov/early Dec last year) you get high pressure cold still conditions with leaden skies where for weeks on end wind and solar are virtually useless. Add in the full impact of the gas and coal back up at the time, and wind's carbon footprint is very significant.

Permitting BKY's mine would accelerate the process of the world weaning itself off Russian uranium. No one should be buying it certainly.

My parting shot will be reporting FRP and OC to their regulators. FRP should not have appointed OC and OC were too conflicted to accept the appointment. You cannot act for a company and its directors in its business and transactions, and then properly discharge statutory duties to investigate eg those same transactions as potential sales at undervalue etc. There was a lot to investigate and I and I know a number of other shareholders raised serious legitimate detailed concerns.
Too much of a conflict in these circumstances, it's close to a conspiracy with Cochran to defraud shareholders.
I doubt reporting will do any good mind but it's important to do it. Bad luck to them all now.

I was shocked by FRP and Osborne Clarke's appointment and conduct. How on earth could the administrators appoint Cochran and Halo's own lawyers ffs who had presided over this sh.i.tshow? What hope was there ever of genuine scrutiny of Cochran's conduct and all his dodgy deals? Gross conflict of interest, misconduct and a proper stitch up of shareholders.

BoD need to get tf on with it now. Only 3 months to de listing now. It's been more than 18 months since the ROC deal collapse fiasco.

We need to hear more about the interest and potential partners. It's gone silent. Are they still there, credible, funded etc?

Unfortunately he hasn't realised he's a great asset for the fossil fuels industry, and its successful future because no government would allow the emissions and chaos he's pushing for.
A quick look at the GB energy dashboard for electricity generation just now tells me wind's contributing 3% (same as coal) and solar 2%.
It's tragic.
